Statement of the Problem

The purpose of the study is to determine the Acceptability of Chiton as

Sweet, Spicy and Sweet and Spicy Chicharon in terms of aroma, taste, color,

texture, crunchiness, chewiness and genera acceptabiity.

Specifically, the study seeks to answer the following questions;

1. What is the demographic profile of the sensory panelists in terms of;

a. age;

b. sex;

c. civil Status; and

d. educational attainment?

2. What are the weighted median scores of the different flavor of chiton as a

chicharon products in terms of;

a. taste;

b. aroma;

c. color;

d. texture;

e. crunchiness;

f. chewiness; and

g. general acceptability?

3. Are there significant differences among the median sensory and acceptability

scores of the different flavor of chiton as chicharon products?


Reseach Hypothesis

HO1: There are no significant differences between treatment 1 (Sweet Chicharon

Chiton) treatment 2 (Spicy Chicharon Chiton) and the last treatment (Sweet and

Spicy Chicharon Chiton).
