Module 6

Social Literacy
Name: Jonnel T. Mangitngit

1. In my opinion, we can improve our social skills by gradually opening ourselves up to

other people. Being open creates an avenue for us to showcase our strengths along with
our weaknesses. People, having seen our humanity creates a great chance to empathize
with our experiences, and they could relate to the struggles we constantly face every
single day. Social skills begin with the individual, and having a healthy social life is
directly related to our personal growth and maturity. Connecting with more people and
conversing with them on a deeper level creates a sense of trust and a bond that can
even escalate to more meaningful relationships. Improving social skills is not impossible
to attain. It’s a decision one must pursue seriously.
2. In my standpoint, teaching pupils social skills enhances their positive behavior and
lessens their negative behavior. The development of social skills helps students achieve
academic success, good health, and general well-being while also successfully
preventing a number of issues like violence, drug and alcohol abuse, truancy, and
bullying. Social skills that are well-honed can improve your outlook on life and increase
your happiness and satisfaction. Having more relationships can also help you feel better
about yourself and combat the negative effects of stress. Social skills are aptitudes that
make it easier to interact and communicate with people in any setting. Communication,
empathy, interpersonal, and listening skills are examples of social skills that are useful in
both your personal and professional lives.
