Fiction is a forgotten gem, an untapped well of knowledge and information.

Thus, if you are that

person developing and aiming for success you should steep yourselves in fiction, and read it
copiously. But, I am not just telling to the fiction itself, I am referring to the science fiction and
digi-fiction.
With the massive impact of science and technology today we can undoubtedly say that it have
completely transformed the way we live and the way we read. With the existence of computer
and technological transformation these two; science fiction and digi-fiction came into existence.
Though they are both genre of emerging literature, from its distinctive definition we can
immediately conclude the difference between the two. Digital fiction is fiction written for and read
on a computer screen that pursues its verbal, discursive and/or conceptual complexity through
the digital medium, and would lose something of its aesthetic and semiotic function if it were
removed from that medium. While on the other hand science fiction is a type of literature that
deals with inventive technologies, futurism, space travel and exploration, and other science-
based components.
In terms of it literary element, science fiction must possess the element of speculation about
humanity's future, the impacts of science and technology on people, and settings in an alternate
time and place. While in digital fictions, it require the reader to interact with the narrative
throughout the reading experience. This may include hyperlinks, moving images, mini-games or
sound effects. In many digital fictions, the reader has a role in constructing the narrative by
controlling a character’s journey through the story. And if you would going to write science
fiction, it is much harder to write compare to digital fiction because in science fiction especially
when your are witing a novel you should create a compelling storyline, create likable characters,
and write well-crafted, vivid writing. Additionally, science fiction writing has several particular
requirements. First is to remember that science fiction is about ideas, second is to make sure
you’re telling a good story, third is create an interesting world, fourth is make sure the rules of
your world are consistent, and fifth is focus on character development.
Digital fiction (also known as electronic literature) is written for and read from a computer and
uses the capabilities of the computer for literary effect.

Some digital fictions contain sound effects, images, film, hyperlinks, or mini-games. Therefore,
rather than existing as a digital version of a print text (like an e-book), digital fictions would lose
something if they were printed out.

Perhaps you aren’t sure whether you want to read fiction from a computer. Perhaps you’re
worried that you haven’t read anything like this before. It’s true that reading digital fiction is a
very different experience to reading fiction in print, but it can be just as enjoyable.  You’ll need to
think about how the pictures, sounds and words work together to understand the story. The
more you read, the more you will get used to the new experience.

As with print books, we don’t all like the same kind of digital fiction, so we’ve recommended all
different kinds of digital fiction below. We’ve split them into genres and indicated how much
interactivity is required in each. We’ve also mentioned what age groups the fictions are suitable
for. Try a few out and see which you like best.
You will need to use earphones to read most of these texts. As a bonus, all of the web-based
digital fictions listed below can be read for free!

The purpose of this genre is to explore the possible and speculate about the unknown. It gives
readers an idea of what might happen in the future if certain events—such as scientific
breakthroughs or technological advances—come to pass and how humans might respond
accordingly. Given its imaginative nature, science fiction inspires readers to envision a more
advanced, innovative, and adventurous future.

The opposite can also be true. An author might use science fiction to delve into the unsavory
consequences of scientific advancement. They might look at how this progress endangers
humans and the environment; upsets the natural balance of the universe; or triggers discord
between communities, leaders, or planets. This perspective would make a work of science
fiction a cautionary tale.

Some works of science fiction are allegories for current or past events. The genre allows the
author to examine and reinterpret these events in an imaginative way that resonates with
readers and compels them to consider larger issues.

Since people attentions span was becoming shorter and shorter and thus it is crucial to give the
reader a lot of options on how they consumed entertainment and books. Hence, the purpose of
digi-fiction is to offer a variety of genre in which is it not just a pire reading with full of text.

Literature has always been an important aspect through time. Literature plays a significant role
in our day to day lives too. From our daily interactions to our study of different events and
occurrences through time. Just like art, it helps us escape from our unpleasant daily realities
and also helps us interact with the world around us in a msore liberal and open-minded way.

Science fiction has indeed played a significant role in not only speculating
about the future, but in many instances has actually shaped and molded
some of the social and cultural norms we see today. Science fiction is about
what could be, in the realm of actual scientific related possibilities, not
farfetched ones. Look at Isaac Asimov’s speculative vision of robotics and
mankind living side by side, in peace and harmony. When Asimov wrote the
stories in compiled in I Robot, the idea that humans and robots would be
working side by side was unfathomable and yet here we are today with
robots driving us around (self driving cars) and performing surgeries on
humans.

Digital fiction as a genre thus does not include blogs, communitarian digital fiction, digital storytelling,
and any other form of digital narrative that does not qualify as fiction
