1. Why might Buckley have believed his actions were appropriate?

Would this belief be

justified if his privacy settings had been more restrictive?

Buckley was not satisfied with the management plan for the ultimate driving event. He
wanted the BMW brand to be more focussed rather than providing foods to the people
who is participating the event. As a result he had posted a sarcastic post against the
company in the Facebook. No, this cannot be justified. If he wanted to go against the
company then he should only include company’s image but he had also uploaded the
image of accident which has hampered the human value.

2. What information should be taken into account when determining an appropriate

response to Buckley's actions? What additional information if any would you want to have
before making a recommendation?

The company must take input from reliable source before taking the action. The company
need to go through the post that had been posted by Buckley. Then they should talk with
Buckley to understand why he had posted this, what justification he had. Then they should
talk with the other employee of the company to understand how Buckley is. After getting
all the information from the own company, the company officials must take into account
how Buckley’s action has affected the other company’s employee.

3. What disciplinary action(s) should Thomson recommend with regard to Brett Buckley
and why?

Brett Buckley should be suspended for 2 months from the job. The reason is that Brett ,
due to his posting has defamed the company’s image that had been set by its successors.
The next reason is that Brett doesn’t consider the human value, the post that he had
posted in the Facebook (accident one ) had insulted both the person who passed away
and the employee of that company.
