SYNOPSIS
1. SYNOPSIS
Fast food management system is a web designed primarily for use in food managed
industry. This system will allow hotels and restaurents to increase scope of business by
reducing the labour cost involved. This system also allows to quickly and easily managing an
offline menu which customers can browse and use to place orders with just few clicks
Restaurents employees then use these orders through an easy to navigate graphical interface
processing.
Our software accommodates the computer oriented entry for the details needed by
the organization.

We provide efficient report for restaurent maintenance.
Thus the above facilities are very useful to handle and maintaining the drugs
very easy. This software is developed with Microsoft visual basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access
as back end tool which has the storage of the database.

The main aim of our software mini project “Fast Food Management
System” is to provide user interactive interface for offline food ordering system and also
Register thereby avoiding complication in maintaining and handling records manually.
2. 2 Mini Project Definitions:
This software is entitled as “Fast Food Management System”, which

display the various country cuisine. This mini project also gives various report which is use
ful for managing the food item and computing the bill very quickly and effectively.

The main goal of this project is to make the record of customers easier
& quicker.
 It is situated for all level of peoples.

 It provides proper details about all the customer & their records.
 User friendly environment makes the data handling more easily.
 It easily provides an environment where the user can get information
about all the customers & there records.

3.3 SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION
3.3.1 INTRODUCTION TO VISUAL BASIC 6.0:
It is an application development tool developed from the BASIC

language which is widely used because it provide simple syntax. The ‘visual’ part refers to
the method used to create the Graphical User Interface (GUI). The ‘basic’ part refers to the
BASIC (Beginners All - Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) language in the history of
computing. Visual basic has evolved from the original BASIC language and how contain
several hundred statement, functions and keywords, many of which are relate directly to the
Windows GUI.
The data access option of Visual Basic allows you to create database
and applications for various database formats such as Microsoft Access.
We can create event-driven application. In visual basic application, code
is executed in response to events. This is different from a procedural application in which
the code is executed according to a specific path defined by the logic of application.
Another applications development feature of visual basic, the powerful
set of built in controls that are provided for creating window based applications, example,
command button, checkbox. These controls provide user interface with out requiring
complex programming.
We can also use dynamic–link library routines in applications. A DDL
is a set procedures that are external to an application at a runtime, as they not bound
to the executable file. Visual basic also provides setup wizard which is used to prepare an
application for distribution.
3.3.2. INTRODUCTION TO MS-ACCESS:

A database is a collection of information or data. A database is created using the
software utility, Visual Data Manager. It provides the means to retrieve existing data quickly
to add new data, and to remove data.
Access database is a relational database shared by Visual basic 6.0 and MS
Access. It is used to maintain the relationship between objects.
Database Terms:
Table:
A table is a collection of data. In this mini project, we are using more than
five tables to store the restaurent information.
Primary Key:
A primary key is a database term used to signify the column or columns
that uniquely identify a single row in a table.
Queries:
Queries are SQL statement that extract a subset of records from a table. A
query can also have search criteria to limit the amount of data returned from the tables.

4.1 PROPOSED SYSTEM:

There are lots of advantages of having quality Fast Food Management
Software. It is basically decreases the amount of work you have to do usually. Most of the
restaurents these days deal larger amounts of cash along with credit cards being swiped, not
to forget online orders which make it quite difficult to keep up with everything. This is when
restaurent management software becomes important.
This software helps you to track all the profits, loss, profitable clients
and products of Fast Food Management Software.
This system will store the information of food & customers in the
system.
4.2 FEATURES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM:
Consistent user interface with high economic features built in
to it.
System design modular and structured way so as to make the
integration with other subsystems easier.
User has complete control as it provides and accept only
appropriate and valid data.
User - friendly error messages are provided where ever
necessary.
Addition, Deletion, Modification of records as when needed.
Providing connections to new customers.

Software testing is the most important element of software quality assurance and represent
the ultimate review of specification, design, coding. The increasing visibility of software as
an element and the costs associated with the software failure are motivating forces for well
planned system through testing.

UNIT TESTING
There are several rules that can serve the objectives of testing. The testing is a
process of executing a program with the intent of finding an error. A good test case is one
that has high probability of finding undiscovered errors. The methodology used in top- down
testing.
Testing comprises of following five stages:
Unit testing
Validation testing
Integration testing
Output testing
In the unit testing, the system is dividing in to sum parts called units and
testing is applied to individual units, in this type of testing, each part of the system will be
analyzed. Due to taking care of individual parts, error prone areas can be detected and
corrected. All the modules have been tested and found to be work correctly to get
satisfaction.

VALIDATION TESTING
In the validation testing, system is analyzed by giving various input values, while passing
through different values such as zeros, large values, negative values etc., we can determine
whether the system works under different circumstances.
INTEGRATION TESTING
In the integration testing, all the sub modules of the system are integrated and result are
evaluated against manual processing. This testing plays an important role in the overall
process and for understanding the flow of control from one part of the program to another
part. The system has been tested in a controlled environment and it works successfully.
OUTPUT TESTING
Output testing involves testing of the outputs obtained as results of input whose output is
well known in advance. This testing can be performed against existing result or against
theoretical proofs. Another important role of output testing is to verify the system against
another system developed using the same concept. Every result produced is compared against
one another for the successful implementation of system.
USER-ACCEPTANCE TESTING
This system verifies whether the application satisfies the user needs. Here the
satisfaction of the end user decides the success of the product. The system is tested with the
end-user and it is found to be in such a way that it is easy to use and user friendly.

10 . CONCLUSION:
Our project is only a humble venture to satisfy the needs to manage their project
work. Several user friendly coding have also adopted. This package shall prove to be a
powerful package in satisfied all the requirements of the school. The objective of
software planning is to provide a frame work that enables the manager to make reasonable
estimates made with in a limited time frame at the beginning of the software project and
should be updated regularly as the project progresses.
It is the complete Fast Food Management software is so designed as to ease the

work load of fast food professionals. The main feature includes invoicing, accounting, client
and vendor management.

11. FUTURE ENHANCEMENT:
It can be summarized that the future scope of the project circle around maintaining
information regarding.
We can add printer in future.

We can give more advance software for Fast Food Management
including more facilities.
We will host the platform on online servers to make it accessible
worldwide integrate multiple load balancers to distribute the load of
the system.
Create the master and slave database structure to reduce the overload
of the database queries.
Implement the backup mechanism for taking backup of codebase and
database on regular basis on different servers.
