Life’s full of wonders and mysteries. Have

you ever questioned yourself why are you here? Or
maybe, why are you alive and breathing even if
you wish you didn’t have to? Because for me, it’s
always been a yes. Lying down after a long aweary
and agitated day, feeling the soothing console of
my bed and pillow I ask myself “Why me?”. They
always say to find the purpose and meaning of
your life because that’ll make you, you. But how can you find something if you haven’t
found yourself because you lost it along the way of
your search? Could it be possible if I tell it honestly
that I haven’t figured out yet the purpose and the
meaning of my life for my 2O years of existence?
Because that’s how I feel; my life’s shade is light but I
know how to make it darker.
No family is perfect. We had our ups
and downs yet we still remain intact.

Others may call it “luck” but I call it a “blessing”, and

my life was indeed a blessing from the very beginning.
Everyone expected me to be lifeless when I was born, my
Mom was in a critical condition because of
me, and the doctor already informed my
family that if there will be a survivor it will be my Mom but God is
truly great that even the doctors were amazed that I was kicking and
crying when they got me out. And now I am a 2nd-year college student
at Bicol University Polangui Campus taking up Bachelor of
Elementary Education. But growing up without the

when things got worse because my parents wanted a
divorce; it brought me to a state of ruin and destruction.
The days didn’t get any better and the
nights are the worst; the clicking sound of the gun, the beseeching sobs,
endless altercation, and continuous bawl made my soul and body run- My Mom works in

uttered “don’t do it again.” It was like a vivid dream that every time I
reminisce the pain is still surreal. But truly life’s not about
rainbows and butterflies, it’s about agony and misery too. The
trials I’ve been through made me who I am today; strong and
intrepid. And maybe that was God’s way of making me
invincible; he let me experienced such things because he wanted
me to learn the hard way, he wanted me to become strong as of now
and tell the others how my storms changed me, how he saved and
renewed me. Because the moment I doubted my existence he showed
me the way and now maybe in finding the purpose and meaning of my
life I need to inspire others too; maybe I was born to be someone’s

guide or maybe I was made to share and make a mark at someone’s life too. But who
knows, I still have a long way to go; the process isn’t easy but quitting will never speed it
up, so patience is a virtue.

The meaning of our life, its purpose, and justification is to

fulfill God’s expectations on us. We didn’t just live to die, because
if we believe that every person is unique then we should believe
that every life is too. So, there is potential in each of us to make a
huge difference in the world within our certain sphere of influence because each one of
us has a unique purpose.
2. Make a story analysis about the myth entitled Tungkung Langit Alunsina.

Tungkung Langit and Alunsina

Tungkung Langit and Alunsina is a

Panay-Visayan creation myth written by Rene
Villanueva that was published in the year 1997.
The story was about a God named Tungkung
Langit and a Goddess named Alunsina. It was
told that whenever it thunders or rains, it is
Tungkung Langit who cries for his wife who ran
away after an argument. Alunsina, however, is
still not found unto this day and the creation of
the world as it is said was an endeavor to make
the world a better place for the lost.

The story shows us that love won't exist by itself. In able for love to work, it
should have harmony, compromise, and trust to sustain a healthy relationship and the
story taught us how self-indulgence and jealousy can ruin two people even if they love
each other. The story doesn't only pertain to lovers, it is also for our involvement with
our families and friends. Losing sight of what is valuable and allowing emotions to take
control will lead to settlements that are constant. We should be mindful of our words
because our tongue isn't steel but it can kill for uttered words cannot be taken back. On
the other hand, trust is something we can't give and obtain easily, yet it can shutter in a
split second. Loving comes with trusting your loved ones because love is patient, love is
kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is
not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians
13:4-5)
