Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Ischemic Heart Diseases:
Regeneration of Heart Cells That Beat back to the Rhythm
Friday, February 17, 2023
09:00am – 05:00pm
Methodology:
Interactive discussions on the basics of stem cells, followed by hands-on animal model

heart failure (IHF)]
At the end of the workshop, participants are able to understand:
• Various potential sources and types of SCs
• Derivation, Isolation, expansion, characterization, differentiation, and application of SCs
• Mechanism of Cardiomyocytes injury due to adverse event (MI and IHF)
• Mechanism of cardiomyocytes repair using SCs therapy
• Factor Influencing the survival of implanted SCs
• Route of delivery/transplantation of SCs to targeted (diseased) tissues
• Outcomes of SCs therapy
• Ethical Issue in SCs therapy
• Overview of Randomized Control Trials on Mesenchymal SCs (MSCs) in Acute and chronic heart diseases
• Pre-Clinical and clinical SCs research in Pakistan
