Program: Education for Disadvantaged Young People


1. Description
- This program provides Vietnamese Disadvantaged Young People with job training and career advice.
2. Benefits
- It helps them find jobs easily after being trained
+ 86 per cent in the 16-30 year age haven’t undertaken any technical training
+ Just 6.4 per cent have gained degrees from a college or university.
+ a large number of Viet Nam’s population do not have enough 21st Century skills
- It helps them overcome their poverty and have better lives.
+ Having a job helps them have good salary to overcome poverty.
- It creates better environment and living standard for their children after that.
- It betters the country’s economy.

II. Program: Education opportunities for Children with Disabilities


1. Description:
- It helps Disadvantaged children in Viet Nam access and benefit from education.
2. Benefits
- It helps disabled children remain in the class and continue their studies, at least primary and secondary education.
+ An estimated half a million children with disabilities live in Viet Nam.
+ the education system now can not ensure quality education for children with disabilities. 
+ Too many children with disabilities remain out of the classroom, especially at primary or secondary school ages.
+ Together, they mean too many children with disabilities remain out of the classroom, fail to complete primary or
secondary school
- It helps disabled children avoid challenges and discrimination in their daily lives.
+ Being provided proper school, they have enough knowledge to overcome discrimination.
- It expresses human right and motivate disabled children.
+ Every child has the right to an education, especially children with disabilities

III. Program: Improving Learning Achievements


1. Description: UNICEF is supporting Viet Nam to transform its way of learning to better prepare children for the
challenges of tomorrow.
2. Benefits
- It helps Vietnam create good labourers for the job market, which is necessary for the development of the country
+ the education system in Viet Nam mainly measures students in knowledge terms, and it is not suitable for dynamic and
fast-changing world.
+ Changing schools’ curriculum and textbooks in a more practical way will help prepare students the labour market to
support Viet Nam’s development.

- It helps Vietnam create high- quality labourers in the age of 4.0


+ Students need to know to apply IT in job, which increases the production
+ It creates international citizens, which improves Vietnamese images in the world.

- It helps Vietnam become a more industrialized economy-> improve living standard
