I would love nothing more than to set sail and become a digital nomad.
That dream, however, is
unlikely, considering my husband has a pretty great job that he loves on dry land. My current career goal is to find a career with a fantastic work/life balance. I am currently attending CCBC to fulfill that goal. I have a passion for helping others, so my main focus has been researching careers in the allied healthcare field. I prefer to help from behind the scenes, which led me to Health Informatics and Information Technology. My ultimate goal is to become certified as a Cancer Registrar by the National Cancer Registrars Association. Initially, I thought I would find medical coding a fulfilling career, but I learned medical coders help hospitals and insurance companies make money. Cancer Registrars, on the other hand, are on the patient's side. This career is something I can do from the comfort of my home office, which aligns with my hope of maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Plus, my daughter, I mean dog, would really appreciate it.
