MUSIC (JAZZ AND ROCK)
I have too many favorites to allow
myself to narrow it down to any one
genre, at least, without knowing it.
I know my favorite part of jazz is the
precision, inventiveness, and
adaptability of the sound while
remaining minimalist and simplistic
in its arrangements, yet capable of
bombast and poise when necessary.
Country, folk, and blues give me that
rustic sound I need to feel in touch
with the leafy surroundings of my
existence on the outskirts of the city
that occasionally gives way to a trip
to the country.
MOVIES (WIPLASH) 2014
It's about what a music student who
really wants to be great has to
sacrifice in order to pursue greatness.
It kind of reminded me of my own
experience in music school, and how
there's a big difference between
studying, which is pretty sterile, and
then going out and doing it.
You have to unlearn everything and
try to be honest, using your
instrument to speak in a way that
people can understand.

Andrew's (Miles Teller)
relationship with his music
teacher in the film is very extreme,
but I had music teachers at school
that I was very passionate about
and wanted to improve on, so they
would believe in me.
The relationship between a
teacher and a student is raised,
from which different themes are
glimpsed such as obsession with
a musical goal, morality in terms
of teaching methods, ethical
action against an immoral act,
the submission and submitting
to authority.
TV SHOWS -
WHAT IS THE GOOD
ONE?
It is a familiar, funny, unexpected
and insightful show where
appearances can be deceiving. In
this game show, three participants
called "phonies" take the stage
with a supposed talent, trade or
personal characteristic. Two lie
and only one tells the truth, only
one is good.
