Board part number 55192 replacement procedure

Adjustments:

Potentiometer KV : pre adjusted at facility, if not adjusted you should feel a noise coming from
the motor while is running. KV potentiometer eliminate possible oscillations on motor speed. Check
dynamo feedback of proper motor with an ascilloscope. See adjustments manual for details.
Potentiometer DER: to be adjusted, this potentiometer eliminate the initial peak on motor speed,
check dynamo feedback of proper motor with an oscilloscope. See adjustments manual for details.
Potentiometer BIL: Dynamo feedback balance, to be adjusted ! See here below
Potentiometer VEL: maximum motor speed, to be adjusted ! See here below
Potentiometer ACC: NOT USED

TILTING:
Connect a Voltmeter on dynamo feedback ( BUS board 23S9, connector MVS1, pin 3 and 4)
Enter set up, select code 060 value 001, adjust potentiometer BIL on 23S1 to read 0.00 volt.
EXIT SET UP.
Speed: connect a volt meter on CPU board 25S1, test point TP1 – 3 (TP1 -13 or 14 ground) . Tilt
table to maximum speed with the joystick from console. Adjust VEL potentiometer to obtain 8.5
volt with maximum tilting speed (or -8.5 with reverse tilting)
ELEVATION:
Connect a Voltmeter on dynamo feedback ( BUS board 23S9, connector MVS2, pin 3 and 4)
Enter set up, select code 061 value 001, adjust potentiometer BIL on 23S2 to read 0.00 volt.
EXIT SET UP.
Speed: connect a volt meter on CPU board 25S1, test point TP1 – 4 (TP 1 – 13 or 14 ground) .
Elevate table at maximum speed with the joystick from console. Adjust VEL potentiometer to
obtain 6.5 volt with maximum elevation speed (or -6.5 descending)

STAND:
Connect a Voltmeter on dynamo feedback ( BUS board 23S9, connector MVS3, pin 3 and 4)
Enter set up, select code 062 value 001, adjust potentiometer BIL on 23S1 to read 0.00 volt.
EXIT SET UP.
Speed Adjustment must be done in TOMOGRAPHY.
Connect an oscilloscope to test point TP1 – 1 (TP1 – 13 or 14 ground) or on dinamo feedback
(BUS board 23S9, connector MVS3, pin 3 and 4)
Select tomography, 40° 1.25 sec, tomo layer 330 mm
Make tomography and adjust pot. VEL until you get a lenght of flat section of waveform of 1.35 –
1.40 seconds

WAVEFORM can be positive or negative depending on tomography direction!

SPOT FILM DEVICE:

Connect a Voltmeter on dynamo feedback ( BUS board 23S9, connector MVS4, pin 3 and 4)
Enter set up, select code 063 value 001, adjust potentiometer BIL on 23S1 to read 0.00 volt.
EXIT SET UP.
Speed adjustment must be done in TOMOGRAPHY.
You do not need any instrument, just your eyes
Select tomography, 40° 1.25 sec, tomo layer height 330 mm
Insert an X ray cassette in SFD and select a division per 4 (or 6 if availbale) , in this way you can
make more than one tomo.
Make a tomography, release X ray button and make a PREPARATION (only PREP not X ray!)
Check SFD, if during PREP operation it moves correcting its position, you shall adjust the speed: if
SFD move backwards, speed is too high. If SFD moves forwards ,is too low.
Adjust potentiometer VEL until SFD does not move when you make a PREP after a previous
tomography. When the adjustment is correct you will see SFD and STAND make, contemporarily,
a little step when you press PREP button after a previous tomography, note that complete
motionless condition is not possible!
(You shall turnpotentiometer clockwise to increase the speed and counterclockwise to decrease the
speed).
