You will start each morning with a short recap of what you learned yesterday, sharing with
the team, to reflect and deepen the learning.
After the recap we typically have a lecture or a theoretical introduction to the topics we are
going to cover during the day. This section is sometimes very short and other days can
cover most of the morning.
The rest of the day is devoted to hands-on learning by working in your teams, guided and
supervised by our instructors. This section will start with a short stand-up meeting where
you plan out the work for the day and ensure that you are spending your time wisely.
There are always opportunities to stay after office hours to catch up or repeat what you have
learned during the day. This will be needed from time to time as you cannot expect that you
will master everything taught during office hours without additional practice.
Training blocks
Week 1-2 <Full Stack Fundamentals>
This block provides an overview of the Full Stack environment and tools we will learn and use in the course. Create your
environment, get up and running coding, see Full Stack in action.
We will throw you head-first in the deep-end of the Full Stack environment you will be working with; already on the first day
you and your team will build something together. The rest of these weeks will be a very intense learning experience, refining
and deepening the learning little by little. This fundamentals block is the basis of the rest of the course.
You will learn how to code JavaScript professionally. We will teach you how to structure your code, make it modular and
how to verify that it actually works before running your program.
The modern web is moving more and more towards the browser and you will learn how to use the latest HTML5 standards.
We will first make sure you understand the basic building blocks of the web, before moving on to use React.js, which is a
frontend framework developed by Facebook. You will also learn how a UX-designer works and what he/she expects from
you as a developer.
In this block you will learn how to safely store your data, how to build your own APIs and how to interact with third party
services to extend the functionality of your application.
