Frontend Developer
Want to be the bridge between designers, project managers and clients? Want to produce
amazing user experiences? If so, this Frontend Developer program is for you.

Overview
Meet industry needs today and tomorrow
The frontend developer program takes the students on a journey through programming
languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as learning essential frameworks,
styles and applications. The program is designed to build on a person’s prior experience in
the field, whether professional or academic, and prepares students mainly for a role as
Frontend developer, Interface developer, Web developer or Web programmer.

The learning experience supports the students becoming the bridge between designers,
project managers and clients. As a student you will work in close collaboration with industry
professionals – likely from advertising agencies, studios, web agencies, gaming and
production houses etc – drawing on their insight and experience. Furthermore, students will
develop project management skills, the capacity to produce strong user experiences,
understand group dynamics processes and practice self-leadership.

Study mode
Full time, 80 weeks (2 years), of which 27 weeks are an internship.
Location: Hyper Island campus in Stockholm, Sweden.
The course is delivered in English.

Methodology
Hyper Island methodology focuses on the ‘why’ as much as the ‘how’ and the ‘what’. We
emphasize team collaboration over individual effort and we encourage students to grow
both personally and professionally.

At Hyper Island, we strive to create learning experiences that reflect real-world workplaces,
where you learn while working with real clients, coached by industry professionals. You will
share knowledge with other students as well as learning on your own. Our program leaders
will introduce new ways of thinking and learning for students to develop into lifelong
learners.

You will discover how to use learning-by-doing and reflection as active learning tools.
Through regular feedback you will practice self-leadership, enhancing your ability to work
effectively both as a team member and leader. You’ll learn to create and run effective teams,
navigate group dynamics and develop your skills in project management and leadership.
