DIGITAL PORTFOLIO
Assessment Briefing Timing: Week 7/8

Introduction
Interactive Design is a specialized application of digital media which emphasizes visual
problem solving through emerging media and technologies. Interactive Designers are
employed in all design, advertising, and marketing related industries, as well as work in
specialized areas such as filmmaking, gaming, information design, and eLearning.
Professionals with this in demand set of skills holds a variety of titles such as: Web
Designer, Interactive Designer, Motion Graphics Designer, Interface Designer, Digital
Strategist, and many more.

Project Description
Digital portfolios, sometimes referred to as multimedia portfolios, electronic portfolios, e-
folios and web folios contain much of the content traditional portfolios include a
purposeful collection of student work that tells the story of a student's personal self and
a student's achievement. Portfolios may demonstrate a wide range of student work.
Students control the selection of portfolio content and material.
Basically, a digital portfolio means that students can save their work to a disk, a CD, or
a web page.

Task / Instruction
1. Students are required to produce a digital portfolio of their previous artworks,
individually.
2. Students may select their own artworks.
3. The portfolio must contain at least 3 pages of Profile page, Portfolio page and
Contact page.

Grading
Marks will be given based on the following criteria:
Interface Design (Layout) – 30%
- Simplicity
- Consistency
- Typography
- Buttons
- Metaphors
User Experience – 30%
- Navigation
- Functionality
Presentation & Submission - 20%
Attendance / In-class performance – 20%

Schedule
*** Students Must Strictly Abide to the Given Deadlines
Stage 1 – Planning
Gather all artworks to be included.
Stage 2 – Idea Development
Propose layout design.
Student may use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and any other software that
they are familiar with.
Color code must be in RGB, resolution for images 72dpi only.
Stage 3 – Execution
Begin to compile pages in selected software (eg: Adobe Flash/Animate/Muse or
etc).
Stage 4 – Presentation
