Introduction
Our project will be Web Based Management System for Palas this will act as the
backbone of the resort system we have chosen. They are currently using the olden ways of
logging their customers, such as manually calculating monthly & annual expenses by hand,
manually checking the identity of their customers, manually checking the cottages personally if
its available for the customer, checking the customers activities if their time is up, counting the
customers manually, manual booking of the place that are the old ways that were still used to this
day.
However, using technology, they can easily manage the resort without too much manual
work like logging each customer, checking the customer’s activities, as manually calculating
monthly, manually checking the identity, checking the cottages personally, counting the
customers manually, and manual booking of the place.
In our project, which is the Web Based Management System for Palas Resort the
purpose of this project is to implement a Reservation, Billing using scanner, and Security, and
for the customer’s to track the location of the resort and to monitor the activities of the customers
for the resort to help the management make billing, reservation, and security needed to be made
like this web based system it has made a great and good impact helping us advance to a more
convenient life. For example we can use the scanner to defer the real customers from outsiders
we implemented this to limit the unwanted cost for the resort and for online reservation it would
be wise if the user can already talk to their customer to avoid physical contact and for the
conveniences for the both user and customer printer printed the customer’s receipt and GPS to
locate the available cottage.
The Web Based Management System for Palas is a big help for the resort because it will
easier the task or work manually.

 1.1. Statement of the Problem
Palas na Tuod Resort located in Barangay Nazareth General Tinio Nueva
Ecija, is a resort that specialize not just providing pools and cottage to their
customers but also many different activities. According to Mrs. Hambie manager
of Palas Resort she mentioned the main problem of resort like the staff doing the
job manually logging each customer, checking the customer’s activities, as
manually calculating monthly, manually checking the identity of the customers,
checking the cottages personally, counting the customers manually, and manual
booking of the place. It is a must that the system can eliminate the manual labors
there won’t be any risk of solving this problem because it will minimize the work
of the staffs and give them a more efficient way to do their jobs.

1.2. Overview of the Current State of Technology

They are only using Microsoft Excel and logbook as a means of record-
keeping. Were they still using logbooks to track the ins and outs of the people in
their premises and palas using social media and website to advertise their business
and the resort and for people to know what is available at the resort sending
promos to the email and fliers palas resort now uses logbook and axcel to enter
customer information this is very tiring for the manager after logging in will also
be entered in exel typed and written only manually. palas resort accepts walkin
and booking and they know the benefits of using logbook and axel because it
helps them to enter customer information and get sales in the day and also get the
sales in the month and its disadvantage is manualy . The Palas Resorts agreed that
we would make them a system to make their job easier

 1.3. Objectives

1.3.1. General Objectives

 The main objective of the study is to develop PALAS RESORT
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM for PALAS RESORT

Our capstone project is the best solution for the stated problems of
the client because the most problems of our client are that they store
the sales of their resort manually using excel and the ins and outs of
their workers are also manually stored using logbook, so we created
this system to help them to efficiently do their work because we
converted the manual work to become automatically

1.3.2. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

 To create a Smart Gate pass Qr code with a QR code scanner
function.
o QR code scanner helps the resort identify real customers
from outsiders who do not even pay for the entrance. This
helps the economy of the resort to grow furthermore.
 To create a Printed Sales Report which has a function for Printer
o So that it will not be difficult for the manager to count and
compute the sales in this month, and the system will make
it easier to get the sales in this month
 To create a Loyalty Card which has a function for by Qr scanner
o Customers can use it when they check-in. They have a 20
percent discount. It can be used the next time the owner of
the loyalty card returns.

  To create a Camera which has a function for getting customer
Information
o The camera will be used for identification or information
to be placed on the Qr indicating that he is the owner of
the Qr
 To create Computerize forms that have a function that can gather
information
o Gather information and put all of the customer's
information
 To create Mapping that have a function Locating
o To find out to find out where to go at the resort to
easily see the catege swiming pools and parks see
other sights at the resort and also see the activities that
can be visited

Scopes and Limitation

Back End Scope

 Sales Reports - This is where the sales and expenses of palas resort can
be seen and downloaded the data.
 Customers- This is where the new customers are also added. This is
where the customer's info can be seen.

 Forms-forms can be used to enter customers information

 Users-Users can be use the system like manager users can be add the
customers and can see the sales and customers data.

  QR code scanner- interface is where the user can confirm if the current
holder of the QR is a legitimate resort customer
 Receipts- this is where the customers can see the expenses they made.
 Website Menu- this is where the customers can see the resort's
services.

 Mapping-A new customer can be seen To find out to find out where to
go at the resort to easily.

LIMITATIONS
 Cannot Be Use Other Resort
 only palas resort can use the system because it was made for palas
resort, so other resorts cannot use it
