INTRODUCTION

We now live in an era where everything is practically inseparable from the

internet, including business. It's now crucial that every business no matter what

sector it belongs to has a recognizable web presence. Not only does internet

technology help tours and activity operators get found online, it also helps them

convert visits into money through online booking (reservation) system with Data

analytics and Sms notification.

With Online Reservation System, the level of service is dependent on individuals

and this puts a requirement on management to run training continuously for staff

to keep them motivated and to ensure they are following the correct procedures.

It can be all be easy to accidentally switch details and end up with inconsistency

in data entry.

A place for vacation and recreation which is built on a place with beautiful

scenery like hills, mountains, overview ocean and many more where family and

friends are able to have fun or to relax are called “Resort”. Resorts are usually

located in places with a natural background of the beach or locations where facili-

ties such as pool courses, cottages and rooms are provided. But mostly, all the

resorts here in the Philippines are located on distant places, so it’s hard for the

people to find or visit. Resorts that are built around a specific theme typically offer

activities and events that are in some way related with it.

In this premise, the researchers are challenged to conduct a study on the

development system entitled “Online Resort Reservation Management System

with Data Analytics and Sms Notification for Villa Mirasol and Nieves Resort”; this

system will work 24/7. They won't be tied to a cell phone/ telephone waiting for

guest calls. Most of the time staff will get more reservations online and less work

for them. Also, it helps the owner to see the client’s information and make

convenient to the guest. Because of this Online reservation system, resort

management also are able to use this to provide facilities and make it possible to

reserve the rooms and view the facilities to the customers through their devices.

Also, when the customer satisfied, they can reserve the rooms through an online

reservation system with no hassle. It will helps the owner and staffs to see the full

details of their customers efficiently and they can see their status, file and

payment

details properly. Also shows what months have surge or increase of

reservations. Usually, it comes with various data analytics tools that will show

when they get a lot of reservations. This valuable information will outline the

areas where they need to focus, saving time, effort and money on approaches

and activities that simply don't work for them. Keeping connected and updating

the customer is important. We have an SMS notification to confirm the

reservation of a customer and also to promote the resort as well.

Using Online Reservation System with Data Analytics and SMS Notification, as

the solution to this situation will give the business the opportunity to be more

competitive and also to give the service that customer deserves.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

This system allows the guest to do their booking online by

themselves through their own devices. Because of this system it helps

administration in simplifying the requirements of a customer. Villa Mirasol and

Nieves Resort use manual reservation which is contacted through personal

appointment. This kind of style of reservation is really hard for them to see the

correct details about the

customers and because of that, there can be a big

problem, one of this is that the customer is not able to reserve properly. So we

proceed to the Villa Mirasol and Nieves Resort to have a online reservation

management system so that they can handle reservation in an organized way

with no error of info of the clients. because of this kind of system it helps the staff

to have an easier and light workload.

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND


Based on the background of the study above, the statement of problems is

formulated as ff:

 The manual transactions of reservations are time-consuming and they used log-

book to record customer's data.

 Difficulty in finding the availability of the facilities, rooms and cottages.

 Difficulty in searching and retrieving.

 The Resort is having a difficulties when it comes to accommodating the guest ev-

ery peak seasons or every occasions and Holidays. The customer numbers in-

creased, the staffs will struggle how to handle them, how to give them a good

service because they having a trouble of overload bookings.

OBJECTIVE
The general objective of the study is to design, develop, test and evaluate an

Online Resort Reservation System for Villa Mirasol and Nieves and Resort with

the following specific objectives:

1. ADMIN

 An Online Reservation System that enable to Register and Login an admin

account.

 An Online Reservation System that enables the admin to monitor, up-

date, view, retrieve file, validated the payment of the guest.

 An Online Reservation System that they can notify the guest about the

details of reservation, promos and events through SMS Notification.

. GUEST

 An Online Reservation System with the function that enable to register,

login their information and allowing the guest to reserve an schedule.

 To create an System using open source web based technology .

 To enable the guest to reserve date & time, room selection and payment

all in one system.

 To get the full updates about their reservation details, promos and events

by receiving an SMS Notification.

3. To test the developed system based on its function using UAT (User

Acceptance Test).

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The significance of this study is to design and develop an Online Resort

Reservation System to counter the problem for the current manual operation of

the resort. It also declare whose group of individuals will benefit most of the

study.

Administration. This study will also be useful in processing the guest records

and update the rooms easily. The system will be organize and easy to operate.

Guest. The old or new guests can review their records easily. And the guest can

easily make an reservation and can check the available rooms, date & time

without taking an effort of walking in the resort.

Researchers. This study will help the researchers to widen their knowledge in

creating and developing system

Future Researchers. This will be a guide to the future researchers who aim to

conduct similar study.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

Our main goal is to make a system that allows users to get easy

reservations and for the staff to update, view the information of guest. Also stored

all the information of the user.

The system displays the promo, event and packages of resorts. because this

also helps the resort promote their own resort to the user. The developers aim to

develop a website to handle the reservation since the Villa Mirasol and Nieve

Resort are using the manual system to handle the reservation, data, and

payments of customers.

The system has two structures, first for admin staff to see the data of the

resort, detailed of payment, detailed of reservation. and last for the user to see

the available room, date and make reservation.

The online reservation system can help the owner of the resort in updating and

improving their current system. In adding of the new customer in the database

will done by filling up an form which will be recorded to the database and add the

proposed system will automatically generate an ID number that will also serve as

proof that they are registered user.

technology is the short message service (SMS). Due to its importance, this

research is mainly concerned with a mobile notification tool based on SMS

aiming to improve the mixed learning method for undergraduate distance

learners. Accordingly, this tool adds a great impact on reducing the challenges

that students may face in learning and assists them to achieve their learning

outcomes. The main objective of the developed tool is to facilitate the

communication between the students and their instructors through the notification

checking the price, availability and other facilities to compare with the other

available Resorts at the same places. Moreover, these types of Online Resort

Booking system like “Resort Management System” can also help the Peoples

who are basically like to confirm the booking before the traveling to minimize the

hassle during the traveling. On the other side, If the Hotel Management adopt the

Online “Resort Management System” then the management can able to see the

availability of the rooms an able to give a prompt response to the customers

Generally, This study created a website to promote the amenities and

services of La Felicidad resort. Thus, the website serve as a way to be with the

popular resorts in the region. The database serve not only as a repository of

information but also helped in updating and retrieving data. Hence, the problem

of data security is solved because only an authorized person can access the

this study was to solve the issues that come up while handling events manually,

provide a practical solution, and hasten the transmission of information about the

client's meetings and activities, The main objective of the project is to design and

develop an Event Management System with SMS notification to notify the

employees of the aforementioned clients about important and/or urgent events

and announcements.

Synthesis

This research provides significant contributions in promoting productivity since

it is easy to use and is time-saving. It also provides safety and security of records

since it's free from the flaws of using the traditional paper and verbal

announcements. With its SMS notification feature, the guest can quickly receive

good flow of communication between administration of the resort and the guest.

the internet has change hospitality industry with the help of organizing and

promotions, as well as helping communication between the customers. Resorts

and hotels needs to expand their market industry to cover a larger variety of

clientele. With the aid of using social media and the internet, they are able to

make it possible and easier to access by acquiring an online system specially

reservation process and billing to facilitate transaction.

Synthesis

Therefore, the researchers would have developed online reservation to help

the owner easily input the record and access information. The system wants to

have a replacement for manual system that currently used by the resort to

resolve the problem that were faces by the customer.

Based on the Aplaya Beach Resort Online Reservation System using

PHP with Source Code (2021) by janobe. This is a PHP Project entitled

Aplaya's Beach Resort Online Reservation System. The system helps the Resort

Management to provide their Guests or possible guest an Online Platform where

they can explore/book/reserve rooms. This will be helpful because even the

Guest from afar who loved to visit Beach Resort they can book/arrange ahead of

their schedule to ease the process upon their arrival to the resort. With this

system, you can view the rooms and book /reserve a room anytime as long as

you have a laptop or computer with you with an internet connection. This system

also contains user-friendly features for smooth reservation transactions and it's

hassle-free.

Synthesis

In this study shown what kind software use to create or develop a system.

And the study will emphasize the effects of using manual reservation and how a

computerized reservation will be substituted. Therefore, the proponents

purported to find out how to increase the number of customer using

computerized reservation.

THINGS FOR BARANGAY LABAS, CITY OF SANTA ROSA, LAGUNA (2019)

by due to faster-growing modernization and advanced technologies, barangay

operations must keep pace with this new kind technology in order to provide a

better service. Unfortunately, most of the barangay are still not prepared to

incorporate this kind of new technology. Using manual processing of the

document and manual processing of delivering information to its residents. The

SMS Notification Implementing Internet of Things for Barangay Labas, City of

Santa Rosa, Laguna is system will help the barangay in processing documents

request and delivering the fastest information to its residents. This system can

process a documents request in a fastest and convenient way and delivering

information to its residents in the fastest way through the help of Short Message

Services Technology (SMS).

It has been found useful to employ the text messaging in many routine-like

academic environment applications. Typical examples of these application in

areas are e.g. different kinds of reminders and instructions, reporting of

laboratory test results or home assessment for students, remote controlling and

monitoring etc. In this paper, the development of a schedule-able SMS-based

system which permits multiple vendor gateways for event notification is

presented.

It will not be possible to develop a system without using any hardware

resources. For the development of the system, the proponents used laptops,

mouse, printer, keyboard and monitor. These devices help the proponents in

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

A letter of request to conduct the study was prepared. The researchers

constructed a interview to the staff of Villa Marisol and Nieves Resort. The

researchers conduct the research in Binangonan, Rizal through interview

method. The researchers explains to the respondents the importance of their

response to the study. The researchers clarifies some terms to the respondents

so that the

as the subject of the study. The researchers requested the respondents to

answer with all honesty. In this study since the researchers goal is to make their

most appropriate in choosing the sample for the research.

VALIDATION OF INSTRUMENTS
The researchers will need an authorization letter from the school as well as a

research adviser before they can begin the survey operation. The Researchers

will also inquire about the willingness of respondents to engage in the collection

of survey.

STATISTICAL TREATMENT OF DATA

The statistical method that we used is Weight mean to determine the survey

results from the evaluation sheet.

In the figure 3.2, show the context diagram of Online Resort Reservation

Management System. The diagram shows the whole flows of the system. After

the guest logging into the system, the guest must fill the personal information in

the system. Once the guest gained access to the page, they can make

reservation on Resort and see full details of room and available Time/Date.

The researchers use DFD to describe the data flow structure of the online

resort reservation management system. Because of this kind of system it

eliminate the traditional way of storing and saving record of guest. Also retrieval

A good capstone project is scientific and systematic. After speaking with

the capstone project instructor, the proponents went on to the first stage of

"planning," which includes brainstorming ideas. The project's aims and scope, as

well as the project's purpose and justification for being undertaken, were then

considered by the proponents. The Proponents started by conducting a series of

interviews to figure out what they could do about the system they wanted to

highlight. The system's proposed titles were considered by the proponents based

on these factors. The proponents moved after gathering data and system

requirements. After that, the proponents consulted with their instructor to double-

check their manuscript for errors. The project team started working on and then

made changes to the manuscript. In preparation for the colloquium or pre-oral

defense, the project team's manuscript was reviewed and finalized. It is then

forwarded for review to their capstone project instructors. The project team

modified and finalized the manuscript in response to various panel

recommendations, and then submitted the manuscript to their capstone project

instructors. Afterward, the proponents start developing the Online Resort

Reservation Management System with Data Analytics and SMS Notification for

Villa Marisol and Nieves Resort and conducted the quality assurance testing and

the user acceptance testing of the system. Then consultation with the adviser

and revisions has been made in preparation for the

pre oral defense. During the Oral defense, the proponents presented the

developed system to the panels which provided them valuable feedback and

critique. The manuscript and system have then been revised and finalized based

on various recommendations of the panels.

USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING


The Researchers use UAT Diagram to see the Life Cycle of software

development. The first step will begin by reviewing the Information collected from

the beneficiary. The researchers will design the system based on the needs of

both the resort administration and also the guest of the resort. The researcher

will test the system if there is defects are found in the system. Then the

researchers will fix the problem in the system once the problem is fix, then the

researchers will re-test the system again to see if there is other problem. When

the researchers see theirs no problem then the system will be ready to use by

the administration of the resort and the guest.
