HUMSS 11-A SECOND SEMESTER
ACTIVITY 2: KNOWING ONESELF

1. How do you describe yourself as a person? Share what you feel after watching the
video below.
- I am the type of person that you can count on the times that you feel lonely
and need someone to talk to. I’m willing to listen to your rants even though I
know that I also need someone. I can treat you as a friend if you are willing to be
me as your friend. I don’t like engaging to nonsense arguments. I am a
competitive person especially when it comes to academics and to the things that I
really wanted to achieve. I don’t like making contacts to people who don’t have
good influence to my life. I am the type of person that takes pride too seriously. I
get too sensitive sometimes if the topic of a conversation offenses me or my
principles is against something. I am the type of person that have a high standard
because with those standards, I know that it won’t make settle for something less
or something that I don’t deserve.
- After watching the video, I realized that having those weird, embarrassing,
sad and regrets that w experienced in life makes us human. All of those
experiences don’t make us less of a person. All of those are flaws that makes us
who we are. As the saying, “Nobody is perfect” goes, the video truly points this
quote.
2. On a separate sheet of bond paper, draw a symbol or symbols of what represents your
"self". Make a brief description of what you have drawn.
- A peacock is the symbol that I chose that represents myself because, it is said to

represent self-confidence, self-esteem, pride, honor, integrity and self-love. As a

person I am taught to love myself and accept all the flaws that I have. I’ve learned
how to accept the flaws without worrying what others might think about. Because
with that action I can get to move forward with my life peacefully and get the goal
I’ve set for myself.
