Discuss or describe Private International Law? International Law?

- Private International Law or International Private Law governs the choice of law to apply
when there are conflicts in the domestic law of different countries related to private
transactions. This means that there is a dispute or transaction that involves one of the
following: what jurisdiction applies - choice of court, forum selection, renvoi (transfer of
proceedings), choice of applicable law, and recognition or enforcement of a foreign
judgment. On the other hand, the international law is also known as the Law of nations. It
is a set of rules norms and standards generally recognized as binding between nations.
The international law aims to promote the practice of stable, and organized international
relations.

What is Civil Law?

- Civil law basically deals with the behavior that constitutes an injury to an individual or
other private party. Examples of which are libel, defamation, breach of contract or
negligence resulting in damage to property or even death.

What is Islamic Law?

- The Islamic Law contains the rules by which the Muslim world is governed and forms of
basis for relations between God, between individuals whether Muslim or non-Muslims,
as well as between man and things which are part of a creation. The Qu’ran is the
principal source of the Islamic Law. The Sharia contains the rules which a Muslim
society is organized and governed.

Bribery and Corruption: What is the legal and ethical issue behind it?

- Bribery is an unethical practice, as it increases wealth inequality and supports corrupt


regimes. Corruption on the other hand is a form of dishonesty or a criminal offense which
is undertaken by a person or an organization which is entrusted with a position of
authority, in order to acquire illicit benefits or abuse power for one’s private gain. So
when committing one of these or even both there is always a legal issue when the benefit
of doing such crimes is for self-gain or even to abuse the authority which may lead to
contrast on what is written by the law.
