1. General information
The new software version V2.2.1 is now available. It is provided on the CD-ROM included in the software version kit.

You cannot download the V2.2.1 version because it requires an EPROM installation.
You must use a keyboard to install the V2.2.1 version.

1.1. Modifications and evolutions

■ Internal optimization of cycles that caused software freeze in some cases.

1.2. Corrected bugs

■ Software freeze during SID validation


■ Communication error during an analysis
■ Draining timeout error alarm
■ QC deletion popup bug

1.3. Not corrected bugs

■ Multiple printing on external printer does not work


■ The restoration of software configuration archive and analyzer configuration fails
■ "Lot number" fields does not reinitialize after entering a wrong number
■ In pack version, the following error message appears at the end of a concentrated cleaning cycle: "Command
finished with error, draining sensor error"
■ In Tech menu > Tech tab, when editing a setting, an automatic reset of the following settings occurs:
- "With RUO data" option is selected by default;
- "Automatic lock on analyser alarm" is deactivated by default;
- "Automatic lock on reagent alarm" is deactivated by default;
- "Automatic lock on QC alarm" is deactivated by default.
■ The following sentence appears on each printout even if the RUO pa
■ eters are deactivated: "PCT & PDW for Research Use Only"

2. ABX Micros ES60 application installation

2.1. Backup of the technical parameters

You cannot restore an archive of technical parameters which was created in an older software version.
If you created an archive in the V2.2.0 version, you will not be able to restore it in the V2.2.1 version.

You must record all the technical parameters before installing the V2.2.1 version.

To record your technical parameters you can:


■ Print patient results, settings parameters and technical adjustments.
■ Write down the following data:
- calibration values
- motor mechanical adjustments
- limits values (if modified)
- flags values (if modified)
- user settings (if modified)

2.2. Reset of the main board using the memory reset EPROM

1- Using the key from the installation kit, turn the locker to open the pneumatic protection door.
2- Remove the upper cover.
3- Use an anti-static mat and remove the old EPROM from the mother board with a small flat screw driver.
4- Replace the old EPROM with the memory reset EPROM provided in the kit.

The small notch on the EPROM must be placed at the bottom.

5- Connect the power supply and switch the instrument on.


The board has been reset.
6- Wait for 3 bips (the last bip is long) indicating that the memory is erased.
7- Immediately switch the instrument off and disconnect power supply cable.

2.3. V2.2.1 Cycles EPROM installation

1- Use an anti-static mat and remove the memory reset EPROM from the mother board with a small flat screw driver.
2- Install the V2.2.1 M.ES EPROM.

The small notch on the EPROM must be placed at the bottom.

3- Put the cover back.

2.4. Application software installation

2.4.1. To prepare the installation

1- From the CD-ROM provided in the kit, copy the ARMBSP_System-NM-1.0.0(1.0.0.3) and the NMH_Application-
V2211a files on a USB flash drive (FAT32/4Mo minimum) on your own computer.
2- Connect the USB flash drive and the keyboard to the instrument.
3- Connect the power supply and switch the instrument on.

If the USB flash drives is not compatible, please try with another one.

2.4.2. To install the OS Linux System

The OS Linux system automatically launches when you switch the power on.
1- The following message appears:

9- Wait during the system installation.

10- At the end of the installation, unplug the USB flash drive and press Enter.
The instrument restarts.

2.4.3. To install the V2.2.1 application

1- Insert a USB flash drive.


2- The following message appears:

5- Enter n + Enter because you do not have to reinstall the OS Linux system.

10- Wait during the installation.

11- At the end of the installation, unplug the USB flash drive and press Enter.
The instrument restarts.
12- Recalibrate the touch screen.

13- From the Version screen, make sure that the version was correctly installed.

2.5. Setup

You cannot restore an archive of technical parameters which was created in an older software version.

You have to set all your technical parameters back on the instrument: mechanical adjustments, calibration factors,
limits etc.

To set the printer parameters back, go to Maintenance > Serv. > Settings > Periph. > Printer, and select your printer
model (None, Local, Internal or Remote).

3. Check up after installation


1- Run a startup cycle.
2- Run a repeatability test.
3- Run a control blood.
4- Make sure that the results are within the acceptablre values. If not, re-calibrate.
5- Run a blood sample.
6- Make sure that the display, printing and sending parameters are ok.
