Sub:- Difficulties while using PMA app.

Respected Sir,
In connection with above mention subject, Our Union would like to state few lines for
kind consideration please.

Since last consecutive approaches towards simplification of mail conveyance and

prompt delivery, it is experienced that the DOP is successfully utilizing mail network and
delivering competitively better service than available in market.

Our Union is also sensitizing Postman and other delivery staff to update delivery status
at doorstep of the addressee. Many Postmen are using PMA app at doorstep but it is
experienced that many times the mobile could not scan the articles at delivery spot due to
network issue. Further, it is noticed that although Postmen used 100% PMA app, the proper
delivery status is not updated due to synchronization problem and reflects lesser delivery
percentage. Further, in reflection of incorrect delivery status due to partial synchronization
problem, some Division Office asks to submit written explanation to concerned Postmen and
delivery staff for not updating proper delivery status.

Our Union hereby suggests below points for improvising the mail delivery system.
1. Kindly resolve the issue of synchronization issue on priority.

2. It is experienced that delivery remarks in DPMS are not available in PMA app. For
example, remarks like “Intimation”, “Not Known” and “For Enquiry” which are
available in DPMS but not available in PMA app and compel Postman to pass
incorrect remark in PMA App. Kindly add all delivery remarks available in DPMS to
the PMA app.

3. Further it is realized that if customer is not available at doorstep and Postman

update delivery remark as “Door Locked” in PMA app then the customer meets
Postman during his beat tour somewhere else, in such situation Postman can not
alter/modify the delivery remark in PMA app and deliver the article. The Postman
compels to pass delivery remark in Post office instead at doorstep of customer.
Hence, the delivery remarks may be allowed to modify/alter as per convenience of
Postman in his beat.

4. It is already requested to your honour to supply new mobile devices to delivery staff
on priority. It is experienced that most of mobile devices are very old and out of
warranty period which could not scan properly. Therefore, kindly provide new
mobile devices to the delivery staff as early as possible.

Therefore, Our Union respectfully requests to consider above suggestions issue

suitable orders to all concerned authority. A line of reply is highly appreciated in this subject.

Thanking you, Yours Faithfully
