Initay, ensure yourself that both ofthe water swatch
pins are clean and dry before the beginning of the
fest. Clean the pars with a mild detergent and a soft
cloth. Clean water switch pins allow the moisture to
collect into droplets and so run off the switch. Tough

Unintentional activation, both of the pins are to be
kept clean and deflements are to be removed.
‘Aftor its installation into the Boacon retainer
bracket of the VDR or §-VDR Data Capsule, the
PTO Underwater Locating Device is to be tested,
and, at least once a year, to be cleaned and
‘tested by a service technician.
Porformance Testing and Replacement of the
batter sto be done by a qualified technician only!
For operational testing of the beacon, there is

Important:
‘The PT9 C-Proof comes with a patent pending,
Inteltigent activation, which’ avoids an
unintentional activation, e.g. by rain, spray, ico
‘oF snow, whereby the ‘durability of the battery
‘could be impaired. On this account, observe the
following proceeding to set the PT9 into the
service operation mode.

Starting the service operation mode (Activation):
Use a wire jumper and connect both of the water
switch pins for approx. 3 seconds right and left hand
of the Beacon, this puts the PT9 C-Proot into the
Service operation mode.

Battory voltage measurement:
The PT9 C-Proof now stands in the senice
