Assessing the Mathematical Skill of the Students who have Returned to Face-to-Face Classes

after the Pandemic

Importance

Purpose
 In 2019, many schools during the Pandemic were forced into a distance learning model
to stop the spread of COVID-19. The Philippines governor ordered that all schools close
for two weeks while teachers prepared to teach remotely. The teachers and students
were not prepared for distance learning as it was done very hastily and with limited
resources. The goal of this study is to examine the effects of a pandemic on face-to-face
classes on their mathematics skills; and to identify what’s more effective for teaching
mathematics learning if online or face-to-face classes.

Why the teacher is suitable for this study?

Methodology
 In this study, documentation and questionnaire approaches were used to obtain data.
Learning results from Pandemic to Face-to-Face Classes serve as the record. While this is
going on, pupils must respond to surveys.

 Education must change and find new ways to reach kids during the Pandemic. At that
time, keeping students at home was necessary, but it wasn't the best option for the
students or the teachers. It was observed that students were quite honest about what
they had not learned during the last quarter of the previous year when they returned to
class in the fall. As they switched from eighth-grade algebra to geometry class, students
were particularly concerned about what they might have missed. (Christiansen, 2021)
