3.

Architecture
A diverse and developed according to the traditions,
history and influences exposure experienced by each
culture or society.
Bahay Kubo which is the basis of all Filipino cultural
architecture which gave way to houses like Bahay na
bato, up to the palaces such as Torogans,
fortifications like the Classical Kota’s and Idjangs,
Colonial forts and mega structure such as Banaue
Rices Terraces which is built from carving of the
mountain walls, and Mosques in Mindanao.

4. Weaving
A method of textile production in which two distinct
sets of yarns or threads are interlaced at right angles
to form a fabric or cloth. Before Spanish Colonization,
native Filipoinos weaved using fibes from abaca,
cotton, and bark cloth. Textiles, clothes, rugs, and
hats were weaved. Baskets were also weaved and
used as vessels of transport and storage and for
hunting.

1. Hindu Buddhist iconography
Over the millennia of its development Hinduism
has adopted several iconic symbols, forming part
of Hindu iconography, that are imbued with

spiritual meaning based on either the scriptures


or cultural traditions.
Iconography involves description, identification,
and classification of art works as a means of
studying their development over time and
variations in their forms across regions.
2. Lingling – o
Also spelled as “ling – ling – o are an omega
shaped type of pendant or amulet that has been

associated with various indigenous cultures of


the Philippines since the early mental age.
The earliest surviving examples of ling – ling – o,

dating back to mental age, were made out of


Nephrite jade, but many later examples were
made of shell, gold and copper and wood, the
kind of material suggests differences in
the social standing of it’s wearer. The term was
