CLASS: DGU2A LECTURER’S NAME : SIR OMAR 1.0 INTRODUCTION TO AUTOCAD
Autocad is a computer-aided design (CAD) software
application that allows users to create two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) designs and models. Developed and marketed by Autodesk, Autocad is one of the most popular and wisely used CAD programs in the world.
AutoCAD is used in various industries, including architecture,
and manufacturing. It allows designers and engineers to create detailed and precise drawings, products, and mechanical components.
Some of the features of AutoCAD include drawings and editing
tools, 3D modelling capabilities, the ability to import and export various file formats, and customization options. 2.0 OBJECTIVES TO AUTOCAD
1. Creating Accurate Drawings: AutoCAD allows users to
create precise and accurate drawings with its comprehensive range of tools and features. This ensures that the designs and models created are error-free and can be used for production and construction purposes. 2. Streamlining Workflows: AutoCAD provides various tools and functionalities that help streamline the design and drafting process, reducing the time and effort required to create designs and models. 3. Enhancing Productivity: AutoCAD allows users to automate repetitive tasks and customize the interface to suits their workflow, enhancing productivity and efficiency. 4. Visualling Designs: AutoCAD provides powerful visualization tools that allow designers and engineers to create photorealistic images and presentation of their designs. 5. Collaborating with Others: AutoCAD provides collaborations tools that allow multiple users to work on the same design simultaneously, increasing teamwork and collaboration. 3.0 WORK PROCEDURE
-I use AutoCAD 2020 software to do my certified plan
-Go to main menu b. Choose Format and select Units menu (If using command : type “un”) c. Display as in the following will be displayed
-Set Length and Angle at type and precision column by
click arrow on the right. -Set the drawing units. And click on clockwise column. - Select direction on the bottom page to set the north direction and click OK’. Return the “drawing units” and click ok’. Therefore, the drawing will be drawn in a clockwise direction and (0 degree) reference on the north.
-Go to main menu b. Choose Tools and Drafting Setting
(If using command : type “osnap”) c. Drafting Settings will show as below and click object snap : 4.0 RESULT
5.0 OUTCOME
-I know how to do a certified plan use AutoCAD.
-I can learn about AutCAD. - I know about this software can make my work easier. 6.0 CONCLUSION
At first , AutoCAD are not easy to learn but when I do some
work on it. It can be easier and sometimes more challenging for me. I also do this assignment with my friend and we do together . There has many problem we solve . I hope we can do better for next assignment.
