At the moment, different aspects that ethnic diversity can affect

democratization were analyzed, but indirectly. It doesn't diminish its

importance, not at all. In fact, it is appreciated that having the acceptance of
Majority groups are one of the best ways to establish a successful democracy.

Political scientists have long believed that ethnic diversity and deeply
entrenched national identities work against the cause of democratic
consolidation, but new evidence reveals that this need not be the case, and
even suggests that these factors may, under certain conditions, work in your
favor. And while there is evidence that ethnic diversity is correlated with poor
government performance, lower rates of aggregate economic growth, and
ineffective provision of public goods, these relationships are subject to
qualification. A diverse set of cases suggests that institutional choices are a
crucial factor in determining whether ethnic diversity and national identity work
for or against democratic consolidation.

Is the ethnic diversity a barrier to stable democracy?

Cultural or ethnic clashes have less to do with transforming society and more to do
with defending or strengthening particular groups or identities, often disregarding
those who belong to other groups or other identities.

In the past, minorities would have fought for equal rights and treatment, now they
demand recognition of one's unique identity, public affirmation of cultural difference,
and respect and tolerance of one's religious or cultural beliefs. The concept of
equality has been transformed. It used to mean the right to be treated equally
despite differences of race, ethnicity, culture or faith. Today it means the right to be
treated differently because of those differences.

There are examples such as the United Arab Emirates, which hardly have a different
ethnicity and democratization than other nations. You can live normally within what is
possible and in a developed country. But those are cultures that, in the case of the
United Arabs, have carried it out for centuries and even come to be based purely on
religion.
Conclusión
In conclusion, we can say that ethnic diversity isn't a barrier because the diversity
brings to us new ideas and thoughts, and thanks to these new ideas and thoughts
we can identify the needs of other ethnic groups.
Democracy is considered a fair and convenient form of government to live in
harmony. In an ideal democracy, citizen participation is the factor that materializes
the changes, which is why it is necessary for rulers and citizens to establish a
dialogue to achieve common goals.
However, since there is no ethnic diversity, how could we manage to find an
abundant and equal dialogue, if there were no different points of view and we only
stayed with a single ethnic-social group?
