Abiskata West Africa Limited is an indigenous company that is into Pharmaceutical retail,
Wholesale, Importation and Distribution sales of fast moving consumable goods and general
healthcare logistics company founded and incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission
of Nigeria in the year 2015 as a limited liability company. As a fast-growing healthcare provider,
the company deal in the sales of drugs, hospital consumables (syringes, masks, gloves etc.),
hospital equipment (scanners, test kits etc.) and healthcare logistics with corporate head office is
located at Nasarawa State with other branch offices in Kano, Niger, Lagos, and Borno States. We
are also looking to expand to more cities and towns across Nigeria with population and need as
the basis of choice of location.
Over the years, the company has grown to become a renowned name in Nigeria as a go-to
Pharmaceutical store providing healthcare needs to thousands of residents in need of quality
healthcare products. Our vision is to be the preferred brand for quality drugs, healthcare
equipment, consumables and healthcare logistics services in Nigeria. We have an existing
customer base and we intend to expand geometrically in the coming years to attract many more
potential customers. We also intend to become a national name in the pharmaceutical services
industry within the next 5 years of this expansion.

Business Profile
Abiskata West Africa Limited started as Abiskata Medicine Store in Mararaba in 2000 by Mr.
Abba Abiskata Jidda who is the father of the current Managing Director (Mr Garba Jidda). The
business was transformed and upgraded to a legal status of a limited liability company as a result
of its incorporation of the company with Corporate Affairs Commission in 2015. Subsequently, a
premise license from Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria was obtained to operate a community
pharmacy in the same location where the business started as a medicine store in 2000. The
company’s retail operations is responsible for about 40% of the company’s revenues while the
supply and distribution arm of the business represents 60% of its revenues. The headquarters and
its branches are located where it also enjoys the patronage of a significant number of walk-in
customers including residents and motorist.

Ownership Structure, Management and Staffing
Abiskata West Africa Limited is 100% Nigerian indigenous Pharmaceutical company managed
by Mr Garba Jidda who is also the Managing Director in with partnership with Pharmacist
Muhammad Tijjani Jidda as the Pharmacist Director to the company. Mr Garba is a graduate of
Biochemistry from University of Maiduguri in 2010 an M.Sc. holder in Industrial Chemistry
from Nile University in Abuja in 2018 with over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical
retailing and supply of drugs .The Pharmacy Director is a graduate of pharmacy from the
University of Maiduguri, Borno State with over 8 years hospital experience while Mr Abdullahi
Akilu Sidi is currently been included as a third director to Abiskata West Africa Limited .He is a
graduate of Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Kaduna State .

Pharm. Maryam Muhammad Adamu, a graduate of Pharmacy from University of Maiduguri in


2017 is the current Resident Pharmacist who coordinates the operational activities of the
company.
Pharmacist Hafsat Saab is the Superintendent Pharmacist in charge of Kano and Maiduguri
branches and holds a degree in pharmacy from University of Maiduguri in 2014.

In retrospect to the company’s vision, we have assembled a strong management team comprising
entirely of experienced professionals who have thorough knowledge of the industry and technical
expertise in the industry.

We do not intend to run a conventional business and as such we would not be hiring employees
as a conventional business would. To this effect therefore, we will be hiring more employees to

 Oversees the smooth task of general administration on behalf of the organization

Proposed Investments
Abiskata West Africa Limited is seeking for a working capital of NGN 350 Million for 36
months to expand its category of pharmaceutical drugs, importation of additional pharmaceutical
drugs and expand its distribution network due to increasing demand from its customers. The
investment would increase the availability of quality medications to both the company’s retail
and institutional customers. The company’s branch and head office locations are predominantly
inhabited by low to middle-income persons with peasant to moderate disposable income. This
investment would ensure that these clients could access quality and affordable medication with
an intends to stock up its stores expecially at this time of scarcity due to the corona virus
outbreak by buying face mask, hand sanitizers and immune system boosters. It intends to do this
rapidly at all branches.

retail, wholesale of pharmaceutical drugs, sales of medical equipment and distribution to both
retail, wholesale and institutional customers within and outside (West Africa) Nigeria.
The company’s corporate head office is located at Nasarawa state with branch offices in Kano,
Niger, Borno and Lagos States. The choices of these locations are strategic to both marketing

Our Products and Services
Abiskata West Africa Limited has two types of products in the market thus: pharmaceutical and

non-pharmaceutical products.

1. Kukubima Energy Drink

The core product for Abiskata West Aferica Limited is Kukubima Energy drink. Kukubima is an

Energy drink in powder form, packaged in a 4gram sachet. Kukubima is composed of

GINSENG, ROYAL JELLY, HONEY, TAURINE, CAFFEINE 32mg, Vitamins B2, B3, B6 &
B12.

Kukubima comes in different flavors e.g Orange, Original, Grape etc. Kukubima is a registered

product in Nigeria with the NAFDAC. Kukubima is prepared by mixing the powder content with

200ml of cold water. The maximum advisable sachet for consumption per day is 3 sachets.

Kukubima helps to promote stamina, increase metabolism, restore, enhance and refresh the body.

The carton configuration is 6 sachets in a pack, 10packs in a roll and 12rolls in a carton. KBE is

manufactured by Sidomuncul in Indonesia.

2. Pimag Antacid Suspension

The next core brand of Abiskata West Africa Limited is PIMAG ANTACID SUSPENSION.

Pimag antacid suspension contains Aluminium Hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide and

Simethicone. It treats therapy and duodenal ulcer, gastritis, heartburn and gastric hyperacidity. In

other words it treats Stomach upset, Nausea, Flatulence and heartburn. It comes in a 7ml and

10ml sachet. The carton configuration is 30 sachets in a box and 30 boxes in a carton. It is

Our Target Market

Healthcare products are essential products that are consumed by everybody. For example, the
most common illness in Nigeria is malaria. That is why we focus on providing the best high
quality drugs. In as much as pharmaceutical products are demanded all over the country, we are
particularly focusing our attention to some specific states in Nigeria due to the following reasons:

Lagos State, Kano State River State, Nasarawa State, Anambara, State and Imo State have both
the population and the high per capita income.

Borno State, Sokoto State, Niger State and Kabbi State have both the population, economic
power and are bordered by other West African and East African countries such as Chad, Niger ,

Credit History
In June 2018,2019 respectively, the client took a loan of NGN3 million and NGN 7.5 which he
has fully repaid without defaults and June 2020, the company secured a loan of N100million
from the Medical Credit Fund program. The loan is currently outstanding to the tune of NGN
41million (inclusive of principal and interest) and the client has repaid without default.

Repayment Capacity
Based on the financial statements analysis, the company shows sufficient capacity to repay the
loan with DSCR being more than the minimum threshold of 1.25 over the 3 years of projection

Collateral Coverage

 Personal guarantees would be provided from all the shareholders of the company.
 The loan facility will be secured with 2 units of 2 bedroom detached bungalows and a block
of 5 units of 1bedroom apartment terrace and the commercial plaza wing consisting of a block
of 2 floors. This property is located at Jiwape, a village settlement within a larger Mararaba
neighborhood of Karu LGA of Nassawara state few minutes away from the Federal Capital
Territory. The estimate market value is NGN 172 million according to the valuation done in

November 2021 in addition; a duplex in FCT Abuja with a market value of NGN 315 Million
according to a December 2021 valuation report would be used.
Pricing Strategy
We intend to be a competitive player in the pharmaceutical services market place. Abiskata West
Africa Limited would operate a competitive pricing scheme that is aimed at acquiring market
share as quickly as possible. Consequently, as much as is feasible, we will sell our products at a
price equal to, if not lower than the traditional market place as a result of economy of scale. To
this end, market surveys have been carried out to determine the price bands for all our various
services and products in the market.

Abiskata West Africa Limited will operate a competitive pricing strategy by benchmarking its
prices with those of major competitors as well as differentiating through marketing-mix
incentives. However, the overall market penetration strategy will be executed not on the basis of
lower prices but through the use of price discounts based on quantity and loyalty as well as
introductory price schemes, differences in packaging, delivery charges etc. Consequently, we
will charge fees for such value added services such as delivery.
