4 Configure RF Branch

Any equipment without its own MO is merged into the RfBranch MO. This includes equipment such
as feeders, filters, and golden feeder TMA units.

Note: A golden feeder TMA unit has a gain in uplink.

For configurations with radio supporting single band per RfPort, this is configured as a negative value
in the ulAttenuation or ulAttenuationPerFqRange attribute of the RfBranch MO.

For configurations with radio supporting multi-band per RfPort, this is configured as a negative value
in the ulAttenuationPerFqRange attribute of the RfBranch MO.

Steps

To configure the RF Branch, such as setting downlink attenuation and traffic delay, set the attributes
in the RfBranch MO.

Set the rfBranchId attribute to a unique value.

If an RF Branch is not to be used for TX, or an RX only radio is configured, the rfBranchId must end
with the string _NO_TX.

For configurations with radio supporting single band per RfPort, do the following:

Set the ulAttenuation and dlAttenuation or ulAttenuationPerFqRange and dlAttenuationPerFqRange

attributes to a value between -500 and 500.

The value range for each entry is -500 to -2, -1, 0 to 500 (this corresponds to -50 to 50 dB). Unused
entries are set to -1.

Set the ulTrafficDelay and dlTrafficDelay or ulTrafficDelayPerFqRange and dlTrafficDelayPerFqRange

attributes to a value between 0 and 800000.

The value range for each entry is 0 to 800000 (this corresponds to 0 to 800000 ns). Unused entries
are set to -1.

For configurations with radio supporting multi-band per RfPort, do the following:

Configure values for the attributes ulAttenuationPerFqRange, dlAttenuationPerFqRange,

ulTrafficDelayPerFqRange and dlTrafficDelayPerFqRange for the corresponding frequency range.
Note: The attributes ulAttenuationPerFqRange, dlAttenuationPerFqRange,
ulTrafficDelayPerFqRange and dlTrafficDelayPerFqRange are a sequence of four entries, one entry
per supported band.
