Is Genesis History?
- Mt. St. Helens erupted with the force of 20 tons of TNT that cut through 600 feet of
canyon and bedrock, all in a couple days.

- The Grand Canyon might be the best evidence of a global ood as outlined in
Genesis.

• You can’t see the passage of time through erosion or channeling between the
layers of strata.

- Only minutes or hours are needed for this type of layering, great evidence for a
sudden global ood as commanded by God.

- There used to be a huge lake that we think emptied into the Grand Canyon
to erode the sides after the ood, which wold have only taken a couple of
weeks, not millions of years.

- The Great Uncomformity is the break between the granite bottom and the
sandstone side, which is continent-wide and can be seen also in the Middle
East and Africa, even more evidence of a global ood.

- Paradigm: a framework through which you can interpret evidence

• Genesis Paradigm - 6 days of Creation

• What is the true history of our cosmos?

- In Hebrew, we can see the true original meaning and context of Genesis

• The Biblical text is not compatible with the conventional paradigm

- We can’t use present-day rates to compare how quickly geological processes

occurred in the past

• If the earth has been around for hundreds of millions of years, then we should be
able to see rocks and other earthly materials that are at least close to being that
same age as well

 • Layering in Arizona points to rapid sedimentation that happens very quickly and
spreads thinly all at once, like during batter into a pan to make a batch of
pancakes

- Their angles are similar to the angle of underwater dunes, which points to those
sediments being created quickly while underneath the water (during the Great
Flood)

• Epochs of Time

- Creation Epoch

- Edenian Epoch

• the period of time when Adam and Eve are in the garden of Eden

- Anti-Deluvian Epoch

• the period after the fall of man but before the ood

- Post-Flood Epoch

• the earth has to recover from the devastation

• The Ice Age is a consequence of the heating of the water from the ood

- The earth is still recovering from the ood, and that’s why we have ‘global
warming’ —> we shouldn’t be concerned about it

• Fossil records show that the layers were created and buried over in an infant
because of the ood

- We’re seeing the world as created by the ood, not the world from Creation
week

- Fossils are perfectly preserved, which doesn’t make sense if layers took millions
foyers. Weather patterns would change and decay the bones, so they wouldn’t
be in perfect condition like we see them today.

• Layering happened very quickly, with the Great Flood
