Is Genesis History? - Part 2

- It doesn’t make sense that dinosaurs were alive millions or billions or years ago,
because fossils have been found that still have live tissues inside.

• They couldn’t have survived for 60-70 millions years. Only a few thousand.

• The tissue is still in amazing condition, so how can one explain the pristine survival
of these tissues in less than pristine conditions?

- Time is the critical component of evolution.

- Charles Darwin rst adopted the thought that the earth was billions of years old, and
then t his idea of evolution to that paradigm. They don’t (and never did) go hand-in-
hand with each other.

- Hox genes set up di erent patterns in animals of even the same kind, so a star sh,
sea urchin, and sea cucumber are all echinoderms but look drastically di erent
because of their di erent developmental genes.

• There are 4 levels to DNA, and each level requires the next level to function and
ful ll its purpose. How can all these levels interact with each other and know what
each other needs to function, if changes happen very very slowly, over billions of
years, one change at a time?

- It can’t!!

- Natural Selection is about killing o things that are not suitable for the environment

• Natural selection cannot account for all of the diversity we see

- It does a lot of ne tuning within a speci c animal species

• Variations turn into adaptations to help these creatures to survive

- Finches beaks in the Galapagos

- Oryx skin to be light as to not be seen by predators

- Big Band cannot go hand-in-hand with the Bible
