ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

2014-2015

Barangay Cagangohan Council is committed to provide social protection and

promote the rights and welfare of the poor, particularly the vulnerable and
disadvantaged individuals, families and communities by contributing to poverty
alleviation and community empowerment through social services, program and projects.

Family Welfare is one of the focused in the barangay programs and projects in
order to promote family life. Among the activities undertaken were: Series of training
sessions have been conducted to prevent Domestic Violence through continuing
Advocacy on RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Person Act of 2003), RA 9262 (Anti
Domestic Violence Against Women and their Children, Completion of VAWC
Building Extensive efforts were taken to raise the awareness level of participants on the
rights, privileges, benefits and other preventive measures to avoid or minimize
incidences of abuse to spouses and or children.

Health Program encompasses all health services interventions aimed to uplift the
health conditions of the constituents, among the activities undertaken were:
OPERATION TULI, MDR/IMMUNIZATION, BLOOD LETTING, MEDICAL & DENTAL,
PABASA SA NUTRITION, DENGUE AWARENESS & DISASTER RESPONSE
AWARENESS. It involves also series of training/orientation seminars for community
leaders and volunteers to enhance capacities for the operation of the structures and be
able to develop and supports programs and services for the welfare of general populace
in cases of domestic abuse, disaster and other forms of community threats.

The Barangay Council has endeavored in advocating protection of our

environment, making it a sustainable effort for the coming generation to enjoy.
Program and projects were undertaken so as to instill and remind people the
importance of taking care of our God-given resources, Mangrove planting conservation
of fish sanctuary.

In relation to the youth development, the barangay continues to provide

allocation for various activities such as League Tournament, Linggo ng Kabataan, Health
Services and Adolescents Reproductive Program, Out of School Youth Program and
other Youth related activities.
