Course/Year: __BSBA-MM 1 MOD L Subject: Consumer Behavior (CB111)
Grading Period/Date: 1st Semester (Midterms) Lesson No.: 1

Activity 1

Instruction: Answer the following questions below.

1. Based on the definition of Consumer Behavior, identify some of the consumer behavior related
activities you have engaged today.
I have been engaged to buying groceries and in market for our consumable supplies.
First, we get a cab going to the supermarket. Since then, I have been listing what I need to buy
in a checklist. As a consumer for years, it has been my hobbit to buy the products which are
preferred, and we liked. I also look for the price to compare it with the others together with its
quality and quantity. At home, we cooked a meal from some of the groceries we have bought
and ate it.
I also segregated the garbage for our barangay garbage collector collected the garbage
today.
2. What is/are the key difference(s) between individual consumers and organizational consumers.
State at least 2 examples.
There were so many differences between the two. We have the reason why they
purchase a product. Individual consumers are motivated by both needs and wants. Through
persuasive marketing or peer pressure, it is possible to persuade a customer to buy something
they don't need, but it is much more difficult to persuade an organization to buy something they
don't need, especially when dealing with a purchasing department that is responsible for its
spending. Individual consumers also tend to buy products for their own good and consumption.
While the organizational consumers buy product for reselling. They also buy raw materials for
production such as steel, timber, and other things required in manufacturing.
3. Based on the situation provided, identify who is the consumer, user, and influencer.
I think the consumer on the situation is your mother who wanted to buy the pair of
pants. The user is obviously you since your mother wanted to buy the pair of pants for you to
wear. And the influencer was both you and your mother’s best friend.
If we would look and understand the situation deeper, your mother’s best friend told her
that the pair of pants would look awesome on you. But when you saw the pants, you see to it
that it would not suit on you, and you hate it. And so, your mother returned the pants. That’s
what made you an influencer to your mother.
