INTRODUCTION TO THE LESSON

Do we know what gifts are? Gifts are presents we give to people we care about. What are some
of the times you get gifts or give others gifts? Our parents give us gifts on special events like
birthdays and when pass in school, right?
Did you know that God loves us so much that He also gave us gifts. We can also call them
talents. The talents God has given you can be whatever you're good at. Sometimes it involves a
sport, maybe you have a musical talent, or maybe you're good at science and math, or maybe
you are more artistic and can draw really well. Whatever the case, God made you good at
something for a reason. He wants you to serve Him with your talents.
What are some of the ways we can use our talents to serve God? 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you
should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace
in its various forms.
Just as the bible has said we should not be ashamed of our gifts or try to use different talents
that are not ours. Use the talent God gave you and you can bless others with your talent just as
if you're giving them a present.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Have the kids identify some of their gifts and talents.
2. Ask them ways they can use the talents to serve GOD.
KIDS DISCUSSION TIME:
1. How can we use our gifts and talents to serve God?
PRAYER:
Dear Jesus, I pray that you show me what my gifts and talents are. I pray that I may use my
talents and gifts to serve you and those around me. Thank you for blessing me with my talents
and I pray I will use them to bless others also. Amen.
