Beautiful Falmouth

A Short Story
by Mr Pseudonym

Sonya Zeus looked at the crumpled book in her hands and felt sparkly.

She walked over to the window and reflected on her cold surroundings. She had
always loved beautiful Falmouth with its orange, obnoxious oceans. It was a place
that encouraged her tendency to feel sparkly.

Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of
Dick Giantbulb. Dick was a spiteful dolphin with hairy feet and curvy eyebrows.

Sonya gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was an admirable, admirable,
cocoa drinker with wobbly feet and spiky eyebrows. Her friends saw her as a
fluttering, fine friend. Once, she had even helped a flabby kitten cross the road.

But not even an admirable person who had once helped a flabby kitten cross the
road, was prepared for what Dick had in store today.

The drizzle rained like hopping giraffes, making Sonya stressed.

As Sonya stepped outside and Dick came closer, she could see the narrow glint in
his eye.

"I am here because I want a kiss," Dick bellowed, in a cowardly tone. He slammed
his fist against Sonya's chest, with the force of 3841 mice. "I frigging love you,
Sonya Zeus."

Sonya looked back, even more stressed and still fingering the crumpled book. "Dick,
I ate your puppy," she replied.

They looked at each other with lonely feelings, like two hurt, hissing hamsters
rampaging at a very down to earth dinner party, which had classical music playing
in the background and two modest uncles chatting to the beat.

Suddenly, Dick lunged forward and tried to punch Sonya in the face. Quickly, Sonya
grabbed the crumpled book and brought it down on Dick's skull.

Dick's hairy feet trembled and his curvy eyebrows wobbled. He looked stressed, his
body raw like a resonant, real record.

Then he let out an agonising groan and collapsed onto the ground. Moments later
Dick Giantbulb was dead.

Sonya Zeus went back inside and made herself a nice mug of cocoa.
