Hello Dr Murphy and class,

My name is Carolyn Jenkins.

As a child, I had two occupations in mind: one was as an accountant, the other as a nurse. However, I
am currently employed in corporate finance. Chicago, Illinois is where I live. As a result of multiple
fatalities, I have experienced some difficulties in my career. Nevertheless, I have always believed that
I aim to complete my degree.

Have you ever made a choice in a work, family, friend, or social situation based not
on your core values but on convenience, fear, greed, or expediency? What was the
situation, and how did your decision make you feel?

Yes. This was predicated on fear. I once worked for a manager who was intimidating and
disconcerting. He made working at the company uncomfortable after I found him trying to influence
my coworkers into calling a strike on tenuous grounds. He regularly intimidated and bullied me. This
continued for several months before he was finally demoted and then let go. I discovered that I was
not the only person he harassed in this respect, and this taught me to constantly defend my
positions and stay on the right side of the law.
