Impact - Effort Assessment

The Impact-Effort Decision Making Chart is a tool that may help a team determine which
areas of improvement to focus on. The chart can assist a person in categorizing the
quality improvement “to-do” list based on the effect of the task and the quantity of work
required to reach each goal.

Some Situations are observed at Congressional Avenue, Quezon City and provide
some examples of Impact-effort assessment to determine which activity take less effort
but greatly affects the traffic, and vice versa.

 Placing a bridge even with a pedestrian lane (HE,LI)- Using an overpass in a traffic light even
there is a Pedeterian lane is very not usefull they can use the pedesteria lane it is econimic and
govenment save more cost than over pass.
 Street Sweeper (HE,HI)- Putting in a Traffic enforcers in hi-way or road have play a vital role in
maintaining public order and safety in our roads. A properly trained traffic enforcer coupled
with the best practices in the enforcement of traffic laws will ensure a safer road for the public
particularly to motorists and pedestrians.
 Placing a barricade in the uturn slot (LE,LI)- Putting bariccade is not helpful because even if you
put a baricade there is still some guy or driver that’s not obeying it.
 Putting truck lane and bike lane (LE,HI) – First, by having designated trucking lanes and bike
lanes congestion can be eased and deliveries can arrive more quickly and reliably. Separating
heavy trucks and bike from passenger vehicles will allow both to drive more safely.
