SAFEPACE CAM 400

Exclusively designed as a part of SafePace-WebDirector ecosystem, the SafePace CAM 400 Traffic Camera is a
compact, rugged, fully integrated traffic monitoring camera which is capable of speed measurement and acquisition
of images suitable for automatic license plate recognition by WebDirector’s ANPR engine.

The SafePace CAM 400 encapsulates a Quad-Core ARM CPU, dual video sensors, infra-red illuminator, GPS, Wi-Fi,
Ethernet and cellular communication interface within IP67 environmentally sealed enclosure.

The camera is designed to provide reliable,

simultaneous multi-target vehicle speed
measurement and number plate tracking.
Actual performance is subject to range,
viewing angle constraints, illumination and
weather conditions.

Powerful Quad-Core ARM processor inside the

camera provides sufficient computing power
for machine vision algorithms such as visual
multi-target speed measurement and license
plate detection.

The SafePace CAM 400 camera is designed to be “Point and Go” and can be configured and deployed in a few minutes
utilizing a standard web browser via WebDirector and/or embedded Web Interface.

OPERATING CONDITIONS
The proper operation of SafePace CAM 400 requires the following conditions to be met:

 The camera will properly detect speed only with real license plates which use the standard font and
character height.
 Plates must have a retro-reflective background and dark characters.
 Plates must be mounted not higher than 1.6 meters above ground level.
 Plates must be substantially clean and free of occlusion such as dust, dirt, etc.

For effective operation, the product must be installed according to the operating conditions below. Failure to meet
these operational conditions will result in reduced performance and/or reduced operational lifetime of the product.
