Instruction: Using the examples of a primary sources in the module, give a primary source that
can be used in the writing of your life history. Discuss how it qualifies as a primary source.

History is something we can acquire because of the past. For some reason, I, myself, do
not really believe anything that is written about past history. But sometimes, while reading the
content of a certain history, it makes me wonder or doubt myself for not believing because of the
evidence that’s been presented.
Creating a life history is somewhat difficult if we think about it. Especially when a person
is alone for the whole time, there are no such sources we can rely on to determine his or her life
history. But we can consider things like receipts, bills, or even whereabouts; we can determine a
person's likes, habits, and even places where she or he may go.
 
In writing my own life history, I, myself, can be considered the primary source since it is
all about me and no one knows me better than I do. Apart from me, certain people who are
close to me can also be included as primary resources in writing about my life history. I really
don’t have a lot of friends, but a friend of mine, whom I consider my best friend, knows a lot
about me and all about my life. Since he is the one I trust the most, I nag him all the time by
telling him how my day went and how my life has been ever since I was a child.
As our world has evolved, it has developed so many technologies we can use to
document our daily lives. On my phone, there's an app called Locket where you can see my
pictures that have been uploaded at an exact date and time. For me, it can be used as a source
since the date and time of the uploaded photo can't be edited. One of the apps that says a lot
about my personality is my Twitter account, since it's been my personal journal. All of my posts
on social media tell a lot about what I’ve been through my whole life.
As for my parents, information such as my birthplace, birthdate, and anything else about
my childhood that I cannot remember, they would be a great help in finding out about that kind
of information. In finding out who I am, these people would be a great help in creating my life
history.
