Abstract

This document describes how to install and set up hardware and software for
the DXU screening test system LPA 107 585/1.

Application

This document shall be used when installing a new test system.

1 PC
Be sure that the PC is installed with WIN2000 English version and at least it
has two PCI slot.

1.1 PCI90

Mount the PCI90 card (I2C) in an empty PCI slot in the PC. Then install the
driver according to the PCI90 manual.

1.2 GPIB Board

Mount the GPIB card in an empty PCI slot in the PC. Use the Software
National Instruments NI-488.2 for Windows version 1.60 or newer for
Windows 95/98/NT/2000. Install the Driver and Application software in the
default directory. Restart the Computer. Go to the Control panel and start
GPIB.

Press OK until GPIB configuration closes.

1.3 Test Software Installation

1.3.1 TEI – CYA 103 621

Install TEI according to 1553-CYA 103 621, using the

“Install_TEI_Production.bat” batch file.

Station ID is to be set according to the producing factory.

1.3.2 Test program

Files needed (can be found in 3/152 01- for selected BOE unit):

• 190 89-CAL 120 2631/1 (DXU screening test SW)

• 3/190 59-BOE 602 14/1 (Test criteria)

1.3.2.1 DXU screening test SW

1) Copy the file Wib.ini from 190 89-CAL 120 2631/1 to your windows
directory.

2) Register 190 89-CAL 120 2631/1 in TSC.

1.3.2.2 Test Criteria

Register 3/190 59-BOE 602 14/1 in TSC

2.2 Power Supply LTN 214 437/2

Connect the power supply to the Adapter Board according to [ref 1].

2.3 Frequency Counter 53131A

Set the GPIB address to 3.

Connect the cables according to [ref 1]

4 Maintenance
Visual inspection of the cables. Replace them when needed.
