I learned a lot today to the point that I can make
an essay about what I’ve learned from this webinar.
The following are the topics that are discussed in the
webinar:

1. Human Rights
presented to us by Ms. Vicenta R. Basilio

In this topic I learned that Human rights in the Philippines

are protected by the Constitution of the Philippines. It is built to
make sure that persons or humans in the Philippines can live
peacefully and with dignity, safe from the abuse of any
individuals or institutions, including the state.

2. Anti-bullying
presented to us by Ms. Ma. Victoria S. Diaz
I’ve learned here that there are so many acts that are
categorized as bullying. First is the act where any unwanted
physical contact between the bully and the victim like punching,
pushing, kicking, slapping, tickling, teasing, fighting and the use
of available objects as weapons. Second is where any act that
causes damage to a victim’s psyche and/or emotional well-being.
Third is any slanderous statement or accusation that causes the
victim undue emotional distress like directing foul language or
profanity at the target, name-calling, tormenting and commenting
negatively on victim’s looks, clothes, and body. And lastly the
Cyber-bullying or any bullying done using technology or any
electronic means where bullies post a picture or video of the
victim posted in the social media.

3. Person W/ Disabilities
presented to us by Ms. Klarise Espinosa Fortaleza

This topic makes me realize that the disabled persons are in

pain not having the same treatment of the non-disabled persons.
They should be able to live freely and as independently as
possible. This must be the concern of everyone, the family,
community, and all government and non-government
organizations. Disabled person’s rights must never be perceived.
Disabled persons have the same rights as other people to take
their proper place in society.

4. Magna Carta of Women

presented to us by Atty. Krissi Shafina Twyla A. Rubin

I’ve learned in this topic that Magna Carta of Women Act tells
us that any gender-based distinction, exclusion, or restriction
which has the effect or purpose of impairing the recognition,
enjoyment, or exercise by women, irrespective of their marital
status, on a basis of equality of men and women. The progression
towards gender equality came about through women's
movements, increased numbers of women political
representatives, increased numbers of educated women, greater
specificity on women's issues instituted under legislation, and the
focused application of those laws.
5. Safe Spaces Act
presented to us by Atty. Judelyn Macapili
This topic talks about the ensuring an individual’s sense of
personal space and public safety. This topic focusses on gender-
based sexual harassment in public areas such as streets,
privately-owned places open to the public, and public utility
vehicles, among others. It also included the protection even to
cyberspace and provides for prohibited acts and their
corresponding penalties. Prior to put a stop to what they call
“catcalling”, “panghihipo”, lewd words, etc.

6. Anti- Hazing Act

presented to us by Atty. Aloi Renz P. Santos
I’ve learned here that Hazing refers to any act that results in
physical or psychological suffering, harm, or injury inflicted on a
recruit, neophyte, applicant, or member as part of an initiation
rite or practice made as a prerequisite for admission or a
requirement for continuing membership in a fraternity, sorority,
or organization. This also include any activity, intentionally made
or otherwise, by one person alone or acting with others, that
tends to humiliate or embarrass, degrade, abuse, or endanger, by
requiring a recruit, neophyte, applicant, or member to do menial,
silly, or foolish tasks.
