SHORT HISTORY OF
MANKIND
Living on Earth was a pleasure for man
in the ancient period. Man ever since
civilization has learnt and lived in tune
with nature. But during the recent
periods, the actions of man have
disturbed the ecosystem in such a way
the very survival of mankind for ages to
come has become a question mark.
DEFORESTATION

Deforestation has greatly altered

landscapes around the world. About
2,000 years ago, 80 percent of Western
Europe was forested; today the figure is
34 percent. In North America, about half
of the forests in the eastern part of the
continent were cut down.
CLIMATE CHANGE

Forests and trees store carbon .

When they are degraded or
completely cleared, e.g. by fire – a
process referred to as deforestation
– this stored carbon has the
potential to be released back into
the atmosphere as carbon dioxide
and contribute to climate change
TREES AND
BETTER
ENVIRONMENT
Trees contribute to their environment by
providing oxygen, improving air quality,
climate amelioration, conserving water,
preserving soil, and supporting wildlife.
During the process of photosynthesis,
trees take in carbon dioxide and produce
the oxygen we breathe.

HOW TO PREVENT TREES?
1. Plant New Trees.
2. Buy RainForest Alliance Certified Product
● Support Conservation Organizations.
● Use Tree-Free Products.
● Enjoy Forests Responsibly.
RECENT ACCIDENTS
1.Forest Fire in Australia

● More than 24 million hectares (59

million acres) burned during Australia’s
devastating “Black Summer” bushfire
season of 2019-2020, which formed part
of a confirmed climate change-driven
trend of worsening fire weather and
larger, more intense forest fires.
2. NIJGADH AIRPORT

Nijgadh International Airport is a

proposed hub-airport, located in
Kolhabi, directly 68 km (42 mi) to the
south of Kathmandu, near the town of
Nijgadh in Madhesh Federal Province,
Nepal. It is targeted to be completed by
2025 with an estimated investment of
US$6.7 billion.[
