A seat at the table" isn't the solution for gender equity

From the past time there always was gender equality. In the public
man was respected more and had given more rights than women.
They were always saying to woman how to dress, what to do, what to
say or in short they were giving them the role of their slave, who
shouldn’t do anything more than a man.
In 21st century there is wide spreaded the idea of “Gender equality”,”
feminism” and so on. But still some people can’t get with the idea of
woman’s rights. More and more woman is motivated to get out of this
borders that was giving to them by society. They want to live equal
and grateful life, where no one would tell them how they should live
or in other words want to have “a seat at the table”. Is “a seat at the
table” a way out from gender inequality?
First of all, “a seat at the table” isn’t worth of woman’s hard work. it’s
just a part of man’s respected group, where there are no guarantees
that we will be respected. We should invest in potential and give
more space. For instance, Lily Singh in her Ted Talk about “gender
equality” gives her life examples and ways out of this unequal world.
Give more space means that even a woman shouldn’t fight with one
another because of one seat, they should work together to bring more
seats than one. That would make both winners. It makes sense, when
Both Have “a seat at the table”.
My opponents may say that the idea of “gender equality” isn’t for
everyone and it’s the person’s right to understand it or not, but not
understanding this idea doesn’t make another person obligated to
listen his claims. Besides that, today there isn’t main difference in
concept of “woman” and “man”. That’s why in most of the countries
there is gender equality even in a law.
To sum up everything I have said above, it isn’t important to have “a
seat at the table”, it is important to understand and spread the idea
of equality in society. We shouldn’t think about getting one seat at
the table, because adding more seats would be more vulnerable.
