My personal mission statement is:

“To boldly pursue my passions and purpose, and to teach, encourage, and inspire others to do the same,
resulting in lives overflowing with joy, peace, and fulfillment.” My personal mission statement can help
me identify my values and goals, defining what matters most to you professionally. It makes decision-
making easier as well, as it clarifies whether the decisions you're making are in alignment with what you
want for your life. I believe that a career in criminology will be challenging, interesting but also
rewarding. I am very enthusiastic about trying something completely new that interests me a lot.
Studying criminology would allow me to then go into a career where I will be able to benefit my
community and other people which is something I would find extremely intrinsically rewarding. One of
my biggest personal attributes is the desire to help other people and studying criminology will enable
me to do this. My interest within criminology was first stimulated by the media, hearing about crime
stories that have gone worldwide. Why do people do it? Are you born a criminal? How can we help
decrease the rate of crime.Criminologists should have proficiency in statistics, calculus and data
analytics, according to U.S. News. A big part of a criminologist's job duties includes taking and keeping
statistics on crime rates, victims and criminals and then studying those stats to solve crime
problems.Criminologists focus in study crime as an illegal action society punishes through the
government's legal system. Researchers focus on the causes, prevention, and correction of crime
generally.
