The world has been going through a lot lately, and this caused a lot of
changes related to education. With this in mind, a lot of people started
theorizing and asking themselves if education will ever be the same again or if it
is going to change forever.
At january of this year of 2020, a new disease was discovered in the
region of Wuhan, in China. Upon further research, scientists named it Covid-19,
a variant os SARS that can be very lethal to people with diabetes and
respiratory problems.
Sadly, the diseased spreaded and by march, half of the world was in a
lockdown state. People were in quarantine and tis changed a lot of things in
their routines. One of the thing that changed was education, as soon as classes
were suspended, schools started thinking of other ways to teach their students,
this led to a new “trend” between schools: On-line classes.
On-line classes work the same way as normal classes, with an
esception, you don’t need to leave your house to go to school, instead, schools
goes to you. This idea made some people start thinking if after this pandemy
ends, education will come back to be what it was used to be or if it is going to
stay like this forever.
Some people believe that it is never going to be the same again,
however, scientists and school directors think the opposite. They say it is pretty
much a matter of time until the quarantine ends, and that after this happens,
everything should be back to normal. Neither subjects nor the way of learning
will change because of the quality of learning that students have in “tradicional”
classes in comparsion to cirtual classes.
With all of this said, we can summarize that the future of education is
unknown and that nobody can neither guarantee things will stay the same nor
things will change. It is just a matter of hoping and seeing what is going to
happen to its future.
