Symptom
Communication with SAP Backend fails with Internal Server Error SRT_CORE 122 or Timeout error
(ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT) when checking the response from SAP.
Hint: Regarding error message Timeout error (ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT) check the parameters PROCTIMEOUT
(e.g. 600) and TIMEOUT (e.g. 120) for HTTPS protocol for all application servers (see sm51) in transaction
smicm at first.
1. "HTTP Code: 500 ( Internal Server Error )" or "ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT" occurs in the error log in transaction
SRT_UTIL.
2. The job SM:LMDB GENERIC UPLOAD fails with SoapFaultCode:5 Server Error.

Cause
The issue is cause by SAP backend infrastructure.
Resolution
1. Sporadic issue: Implement SAP note 2639809 - SupportHub: Retries on synchronous fails
(/sap/support/notes/2639809) (Solution Manager 7.2 SP05 - SP07) to avoid sporadic connection issues. A job
can get occasionally cancelled with one of the mentioned errors. This is usually not critical because the data is
processed by the next run.
2. If the symptoms are present in the "downtime" listed above, SAP checks the error in SAP backend system
and it will be fixed on SAP side. This KBA will be updated once the error is resolved. There is no action
necessary from customer side.
3. If the error situation occurs regularly (permanent) outside the "downtime" listed above, open an incident or
chat.
