Orissa State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, a state PSU invites applications from eligible applicants for filling up the post of Junior Assistant on contract basis with a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 5200/- ( Rupees five thousand two hundred only). The post is purely contractual in nature i.e. for a period of 11 (eleven) months and terminable at any time without assigning any reason thereof. However contract may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance. The selected applicants shall be posted to different districts with in the state.

NB: In the PWD category, following category of persons such as OL (one leg affected), OA (one arm affected), LV (low vision / partially blind), BL (both legs affected but not arms, mobility not to be restricted), PD (partially deaf with suitable aid) are eligible to apply as per GA Department Resolution No. 3404 date: 13.02. 2006. 3. General Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for recruitment to the above post, an applicant must satisfy the following conditions. He / she a) shall be a permanent resident of Orissa. b) shall have good moral character. c) must not have more than one spouse living.

shall be of good health , good physique, active habits and far from any organic defect or bodily deformity ( not applicable in case of persons with disability) must be able to speak, read and write Oriya and have (i) passed a language test in Oriya equivalent to Middle school standard or (II) HSC or equivalent examination with Oriya as medium of examination in non-language subjects or (III) passed in Oriya as language subject in the final examination of class VIII and above or (IV) passed a test in Oriya in M.E. School standard conducted by the Education Department of the State Government. shall possess the requisite qualification as shown in paragraph 4 and 5 (educational and age eligibility). must not have been debarred from appearing in any other competitive examination and holding government services as ordered by the competent authority.
4. Educational Qualification :
The applicant must have passed Bachelors degree in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. The applicant must have working knowledge in Computer.
5. Age Limit :
The applicants must not be less than 21 years and more than 32 years as on 01.01.2011. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years incase of SC/ST / women / SEBC applicants, 10 years in case of persons with disability and for ex-servicemen, the period of entire admissible service rendered as per rule. Only one type of relaxation in age is admissible.
In Service Applicants:
The employees of OSCSC Ltd. including temporary employees may apply for the post. Employees who are having 10 years working experience in this organization, subject to their non involvement in any case of misappropriation / defalcation of Corporation funds are eligible to apply. The said applicant has to produce certificate of experience from the OSCSC Head Office. The age of in service applicant shall not be more than 42 years in case of unreserved category / 47 years in case of SC/ST / women / SEBC category and 52 years in case of persons with disability category as on 01.01.2011.
6. Reservation
Applicant claiming reservation under any category as per Para-2 should furnish relevant certificates issued by the Competent Authority in support of their claims. In case a sports person, applicants must possess identity cards / certificate issued by Directorate of Sports, Orissa.
7. Procedure of Selection
I. The selection of applicants shall be made on the basis of the marks secured by them in the Secondary (Matriculation), Higher Secondary (10+2) and Graduate Examinations conducted by a recognized Board / Council or University as the case may be. II. Weightage shall be assigned to the marks obtained by the applicants in the examination in the following manner: Secondary (Matriculation) 20% Higher Secondary (10+2) 20% Graduation (Bachelors Degree) 60% III. The merit list shall be drawn up on the basis of weighted percentage of marks obtained in the three examinations mentioned in sub-paragraph (I) and (II) above. IV. In case, more than one applicant has equal weightage of marks, the applicant with higher percentage of marks in aggregate in degree examination shall be assigned higher rank in merit list. In case this also becomes equal, the applicant with higher percentage of marks in aggregate in Higher Secondary (10+2) examination shall be assigned higher rank in the merit list. In case this also becomes equal, the applicant with higher percentage of marks in aggregate in Secondary (Matriculation) examination shall be assigned higher rank in the merit list. In case, this also becomes equal, the applicant older in age shall be placed above the younger.

Total Grade Points: Total grade points of the examination as indicated in the grade sheet Aggregate CGPA Secured: Total grade points obtained in the examination as indicated in the grade sheet Since no weightage is allotted for Honours or Distinction, those who have passed either with honours or distinction will adopt the same procedure as above for calculating the marks obtained. Those who have passed having compartmental paper(s) or back paper(s), while calculating the marks obtained will only add the marks obtained by them in the papers finally passed by them and ignore the previous marks obtained in the back paper(s).
