Part 3: BUSINESS NEED FOR PROJECT

 Can get necessary information from the application installed on their mobile
 Improve the effort and time taken of Ethiopian mothers for their pregnancy health
tracking
 Get detail advice and recommendation from physicians, service provider, and family
planning worker using chat.
 Can know about disease causes, prevention method and solution
 To know appointment with health centers
 Help women to talk/contact physicians from distance without physical contact
 Help women care themselves by providing them necessary information
 To enable women chat with health centers physician with this application

Part 4: PROJECT OBJECTIVES (PURPOSE )

General Objective
 The general objective of this project is to develop a mobile assisted maternal health
information management system for Ethiopian Family Guidance Association
Specific Objective
The following are the specific objectives of the project.
 To set appointment for mothers.
 To notify pregnant checkup date for mothers .
 To set discussion forums/Chat .
 To post pregnancy related information for mothers.
 To reduce maternal morbidity and mortality due to pregnancy ,child birth and unsafe
abortion
 To promote reproductive health awareness for adult girls.
 To increase knowledge of reproductive biology and promote responsible behavior of
adolescents regarding contraception methods.

 Part 5: PROJECT’S CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS (MUST BE MEASURABLE)

 Collect complete requirements of users(SRS documents and user survey).

 Project completed on time (Project Closure document) .
 Project finished within budget (Project Closure document) .
 Good performance of system developed (test report).
 get necessary information from the application installed on their mobile (User survey).
 Decreased effort and time taken to get detail advice and recommendation from
physicians, service provider, and family planning worker using chat (User survey).
 women able to talk/contact physicians from distance without physical contact (hospital
record system report) .

Part 6: REQUIREMENTS

The system must enable the users to do the following activities as listed bellow.
 Create new user account.
 Chat and post images with doctors.
 Assign date to contact doctors and nurses.
 View doctors notification.
 View doctors appointment.
 The system must be secure and provide access to employees only.
 The System must be fast and able to handle many users at the same time.

Part 7: Development Methodology

Development method is also another vital constraint for enhancing the quality products and help
to finished project successfully . There are different development methods in today’s world from
those method we proposed prototype and Iterative model to develop our project because our
project needs stakeholder feedback and develop modules iterativly by accepting feedback. So as
to increase productivity and quality of the system.

Tools ,Techniques and Method used to do Project.

 Tools: To do our project we use different kind of tool like:- Communication tools , Software
tool and Hardware tool.

To communicate with development team and accept feedback from stakeholders we use the
following tool (like email, telegram and other social Medias will be used ) .We will also use
different software tool for planning,UMl modeling and graphic design process like: Gantt
chart ,Andriod studio, and Project Professional 2013 project standard 2013.

 Methods: We propose Prototype and iterative development method for development of

mobile assisted maternal health information management system.

Project development process pass phase which are: Requirements gathering, project planning,

designing, implementation, testing and maintenance. However those activities which are listed
above have different risks that may happened. So to mitigate the impact of risk in the project

maximize the success rate of project and to improve quality of product to user
