RISK FACTORS

Alcohol consumption is associated with good times with family and friends that
produce pleasant effects for the person, but it is important to know that it is
considered an addictive substance and can have serious health risks. Alcohol
consumption, whether moderate or severe, can cause diseases and other
problems in the environment. There are factors that can increase the risk of alcohol
addiction. For example, the high level of stress that besides being an important risk
factor can cause diseases such as insomnia, heart, and mental problems. Another
factor can be depression which will become another risk factor since alcohol
inhibits the depressive effects that can enhance the feeling of sadness, but these
feelings return when the alcohol wears off. Another risk factor is having peers or
family members who consume alcohol since being in these environments will
increase the intake of alcohol under their influence. Finally, the intake of alcohol in
any amount leads to negative effects on important organs that are essential to live,
without them we would have several health problems and even lead to death.
