DEFINITION OF TERMS

1. Plagiarism – using someone else's words or ideas without properly crediting

the original author.

2. Speed – the speed of a computer refers to how fast a computer can process
information, also referred to as performance.

3. Minicomputer – is a type of computer that possesses most of the features and

capabilities of a large computer but is smaller in physical size.

4. Supercomputer – is the fastest computer in the world that can process a

significant amount of data very quickly.

5. Smartphone – is a cellular telephone with an integrated computer and other

features not originally associated with telephones such as an operating system, web
browsing, and the ability to run software applications.

6. Workstation – is a computer dedicated to a user or group of users engaged in business

or professional work. It includes one or more high resolution displays and a faster
processor than a personal computer (PC).

7. Blog – short for weblog, is a frequently updated web page used for personal
commentary or business content. Blogs are often interactive and include
sections at the bottom of individual blog posts where readers can leave
comments.

8. Exploitation – is the act of selfishly taking advantage of someone or a group of

people in order to profit from them or otherwise benefit oneself.

9. Mainframe – a type of computer that generally are known for their large size, amount of
storage, processing power and high level of reliability. 

10. Libel – is a method of defamation expressed by print, writing, pictures, signs,

effigies, or any communication embodied in physical form that is injurious to a
 person's reputation, exposes a person to public hatred, contempt or ridicule, or
injures a person in his/her business or profession.
