JAPAN VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

A. Tourist Visa for Package Tours WITH TOUR GUIDE

1. Original Passport with signature (6 months valid)
2. Duly accomplished and signed application form (printed in A4 size paper)
3. (2) Passport size photos (45mm x 35mm - white background)
4. ERFS Certificate (To be issued by the Japan Travel Agency/Rakso Travel)
5. Documents prepared by the Travel Agency/Rakso Travel:
 Package Tour
 List of participants
 Daily Detailed Itinerary
 Contact information of the Japan Travel Agencies etc.
 Tour Conductor’s Employment Certificate and contact number/s.
6. Authorization Letter (format as attached)

B. Tourist Visa for Package Tours WITHOUT A TOUR GUIDE

1. Original Passport with signature (6 months valid)
2. Duly accomplished and signed application form (printed in A4 size paper)
3. (2) Passport size photos (45mm x 35mm - white background)
4. Financial Documents:
 Original Bank Certificate (issued within 3 months)
 Copy of Latest Income Tax Return
5. If a guarantor residing in the Philippines bears part or all of the cost:
 Original Bank Certificate (issued within 3 months)
 Copy of Latest Income Tax Return
 Letter of Guarantee (format from Japan Embassy)
 Proof of Relationship (e.g. Birth Certificate, Marriage Contract)
6. ERFS Certificate (To be issued by the Japan Travel Agency/Rakso Travel)
7. Daily schedule in Japan
8. Authorization Letter (format as attached)

Important Notes:
 Application forms can be handwritten or typewritten.
 Do not staple.
 No erasures of any form
 Authorization Letter must be per person with original signature except for children aged 11 years old
and below. Their parent or legal guardian can sign on their behalf.
 Bank certificate can be omitted if the applicant has a suspended multiple-entry visa
 Proof of relationship such as Birth certificate or Marriage Contract must be issued within a year from
PSA.

Other information:
 Foreign Nationals from visa-exempt countries (before the pandemic) are eligible to apply for a
multiple entry visa if their purposes of travel are: Commercial or business, Spouse or child of a
Japanese National, Japanese Filipinos who do not possess a Certificate of Eligibility.
 Filipino Nationals are still not eligible to apply for a multiple entry visa or used their still valid
previously issued multiple entry visas regardless of their purpose of visit.
 Visa Processing Time: 5-7 working days (upon lodging)
