Your evaluation of the task

Pay attention to your tutor’s comments in each task before making your selection. In this task you should
critically evaluate specific aspects of your writing (e.g. idea development, organisation and use of lan-
guage) and/or speaking (e.g. idea development, fluency & coherence and use of language) by focusing on
what skills and knowledge you gained from the experience of completing this task.

B) IDENTIFICATION OF STRENGTHS & AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Evaluate your strengths and areas
for improvement in writing and speaking. Write two separate paragraphs about your writing and
speaking skills.

As a writer: In what ways have you improved your writing skills so far this semester? What are your
strengths in writing? What would you like to do better as a writer? How can you improve your writing?

As a writer I think my best LP was LP3 because in this LP I made a lot of tutorial and I fixed
my mistakes with my tutor. Before tutorials I made a lot of use of language mistakes more-
over I made this mistakes in the exams. However, I try to do my best during this process
and at the end of this tutorial I think I achieve and now I am not doing any basic mistakes.
Secondly, I had organization problem in my essays and paragraphs. I learnt how to organize
our essay paragraphs and now I can easily organize my paragraphs. Thirdly, I couldn’t use
any advance language things such as relative clause but now most of my paragraphs have
this structure. Lastly, I could not use cause and effect chain structures so that now I can use
in my paragraphs.

As a speaker: In what ways have you improved your speaking skills so far this semester? What are your
strengths in speaking? What would you like to do better as a speaker? How can you improve your speak-
ing?

As a speaker in class speakings are very beneficial for me and it develop my speaking skills because I think
speaking can achieve interactive ways so it is beneficial and effective way for speaking. In the past when I
speak I did not careful with grammars because I was excited but now I can control my self and I try to fix
this mistakes with my calm. In the group speakings interaction is very important for understand and listen
to other person. For that, I try to use interaction words in my conversation. When we speak idea develop-
ment is very important for the speaking process. In the beginning of the semester my idea development
was not powerful but I read a lot of text and I achieve my self for idea development.
